to Android App Radar Now
Radar Now! uses both GPS and the "wireless network" location services
to establish your location. The primary means is the "wireless
network" which uses cell towers, wifi hotspots and other information
to determine your position with a rough accuracy around 75-2500
meters. While not as accurate as GPS (as low as 12 meters), the
"wireless network" method is much faster and also works indoors.

If you are having difficulties with our app finding your location,
check the following:

1. Make sure both services are active. Press the menu button, then
select "Location & security." Both "Use GPS satellites" and "Use
wireless networks" should be checked. Allowing Google to share your
location information permits the "wireless network" location service
to get better over time.

2. If indoors and our app isn't able to locate you, try going outside
and let the device get a GPS lock. This should take about 30 seconds
or so. Once you do this, that may allow the wireless network feature
work for you in the future. Often, especially in rural areas, this
information isn't available to Google's wireless network service so
allowing a GPS lock will send that info back to Google.

3. If you're still having trouble, try opening the Google Maps
application and see if your location is correct on that app. If your
location doesn't show correctly using Google Maps, then there may be a
problem with your device. Try switching the power off and on again,
then try Google maps once more. Often that fixes problems with
location services.
