Hey folks,

Google's gone and done the nice thing again of offering us access to some awesome stuff... This time, $1,000 in credit for GAE and Cloud Compute each. There's an application process... but I've already applied and gotten credit within a day, so... pretty simple.

App Engine is a full development stack (PaaS), and Compute Engine lets you run workloads on Linux virtual machines (IaaS). This offer includes a $1,000 Google App Engine credit and another $1,000 credit for Google Compute Engine.

Please note that you will need to have billing enabled to get the credit (so they can charge you beyond your credit usage (also note the six month expiration)).
