cannot connect

i really like this app for its no-frills symplicity, but i cannot connect. my android is in teahering mode, not in wifi. teathering connections are wifi. when i nmap scan the android device from a linux pc it shows that ports are closed. am i doing something wrong? btw, thx anyway for your contributions to free software. - janos
