The Andover Township Police Department arrested Joshua A. Guareno, age 31 of Hardyston for possession of heroin.  Police responded to a call for a disturbance at the Econo-Lodge where it was determined Guareno and another party had been engaged in a verbal dispute.  During the course of the investigation officers located wax folds containing suspected heroin within the room.  Guareno confirmed to officers the heroin belonged to him.

Guareno was taken into custody and transported back to the station for processing.  He was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle.  Guareno was released pending a future appearance in Sussex County Superior Court.
