Location:  Warbasse Junction Road

The Andover Township Police Department responded along with the Andover Township Fire Department to a reported smoke condition in the area of Warbasse Junction Road at approximately 6:35 PM Sunday March 8, 2020.  Patrols located the smoke condition at a local farm and observed an active shed fire along with nearby brush burning.  Police officers and nearby neighbors attempted to limit the spread of the fire utilizing hand tools and fire extinguishers.  Units from the Andover Township Fire Department arrived and applied water to bring the fire under control.

 

The Lakeland Emergency Squad and New Jersey Forest Fire Service also responded to the scene.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
