44th Annual Midwest Conference on Andean and Amazonian Archaeology and Ethnohistory
Wayne State University is pleased to host the 44th Annual Midwest Conference on Andean and Amazonian Archaeology and Ethnohistory. Now in its fifth decade, this annual regional gathering brings together a congenial group of Andean and Amazonian colleagues and students from various universities and colleges around the Midwest. It offers an opportunity for students to gain experience in presenting their research in a professional venue and for professionals to share recent findings from the field. Papers typically cover a wide array of topics ranging from archaeological investigation of early prehispanic times to ethnohistorical analyses of the colonial encounter in the Andes and Amazonia.
Keynote Speaker for Event:  Dr. Joan Gero, Professor Emerita of Anthropology at American University, Washington, D.C.
Schaver Music Recital Hall, Old Main,
