What is Data Analysis Proficiency Test (DAPT) – Microsoft Excel?
It is an excel based test that measures proficiency in computing, querying, visualizing, and summarising business data. The test measures students' ability to work with data in Microsoft Excel and provides a scorecard that helps in career placements.

Who should take it?
Final year UG students in any discipline should take it. It will help them in career placements and getting admissions to MBA or MS programs in India and abroad.
Should students have basic Excel Knowledge?
Yes. The test is conducted in Excel, and therefore students must have basic excel knowledge. We provide free basic EXCEL training to all those who need EXCEL inputs before appearing for the DAPT.
Should students have a laptop or a desktop computer?
Yes. Students should have access to either a laptop or a desktop computer to prepare and take the test. If students do not have, then they must make use of the college computer lab.
What will students get?
Students get three different proofs - Test Scorecard, Virginia Commonwealth University Digital badge, and an opportunity to upload a resume in the skill portal along with our Expert recommendations.
Will students get reading material to prepare for the exam?
Yes. Its reading materials are uniquely prepared and internationally validated. Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), USA, University of North Carolina (UNC), University of North Texas (UNT), USA have adopted this material in their curriculum. Reading materials include textbook chapters, practice problems, video lessons, mini and master business cases. The syllabus covers various EXCEL functions for data cleaning, querying data, data summarization & data visualization.
Can students get a coaching facility?
