I'm using the AndAR application on a Samsung Galaxy S3 and I've modified it so as to determine the position of the camera in relation to the marker, in its coordinate set.
If I give the application the correct width of the marker (80 mm), inverse the matrix obtained with getTransMatrix(), the z value on the last column is a lot larger than in reality.
Then I gave the application a smaller value than in reality and when the camera is placed perpendicular to the marker plane, it gives me the right answer.
However, when I look at the marker at an angle, the value is larger (error of 20-30 cm, which is a lot for my purposes).
Is there anything I can do? Is it related to the S3 camera? Is it the auto-focus' fault?
Please, if anyone has any thoughts, tell me. I've been trying for weeks to figure this out and I have nothing.
