LOD People Activity: Sample Data Hack
October 30, 2025 at 12:00–14:00 GMT. Online only.
Organisers: Gabriel Bodard (University of London) and Jun Ogawa (University of Tokyo)
This will be a hands-on session exploring some sample person-data (extracts of between 100–1000 records per project in a variety of formats) collected by the LOD People Activity.
Participants will be introduced to the sample datasets at <
https://github.com/DigiClass/LOD-People/tree/main/sample-data>,
with the option to clone or download the repository, or explore the metadata. We will also discuss the schema and the types of data in the session, but the focus will be on exploring the data, and making note of any links or alignments that can (programmatically
or otherwise) be made between them.
This event will very much be the beginning of a conversation, with opportunities to take this work further at future meetings. All are welcome, regardless of your level of technical expertise and knowledge of cataloguing, prosopography or Linked Open Data.
