Dear all,
As discussed in the “agenda” email a couple weeks ago, I’d like to kick off the first summary of last year’s LOD People activities. (To remind ourselves, we started the compilation of three lists: digital prosopographical projects; prosopographical standards;
samples of LOD person data.)
To the first of these, the list of projects and datasets that we started working on in December is currently being maintained in the Github wiki at <
https://github.com/DigiClass/LOD-People/wiki/List-Linked-Person-Data>
; if you want editing rights to that, please let me know, or feel free to send additions to me or onlist. (I haven’t checked this against the spreadsheet that Sinai shared here the other day, which I think was from the previous year’s discussion.)
There may be more to say about the ontologies and data samples lists (on which more in separate threads shortly), but this list of projects and datasets will be an essential body of data for (a) surveying standards, data fields, etc., and (b) testing proposed
interchange standards or tools.
All thoughts or contributions very welcome!
Cheers
Gabby
