Oh my goodness!  We’re 9 years old!

Allen Street Farmers Market

1619 E. Kalamazoo St (corner of E. Kalamazoo and Allen)

Every Wednesday from May 23rd through October 31st, 2012

2:30 to 7:00pm

 

Ben Hassenger from 4 to 6pm

Ben will be performing his original songs that range from the silly to the sensitive and will leave you chuckling and charmed!  Go to benhassenger.com to learn more about this dynamic and involving performer.

 

Look for MIDMEAC’s walkability volunteer station near our Shepard parking lot market entrance!  Please stop by to learn more!

 

Here’s our lineup for the season:

Ofilia’s El Burrito Bakery:  Tamales, burritos, salsa and enchiladas to eat on the spot or take home for later!

Trailer Park'd:  Local foods ready to go!  Ask how their new restaurant has fared this winter.

Ming Dynasty: Now we get those fabulous eggrolls every market this season!!

ELFCO:  Will be here as soon as they can – always bringing a great variety of foods from the co-op!

Fruitful Acres:  Coming soon with green beans and tomatoes in June!

The Country Mill:  Look for cider slushies during festivals and then their booth later this season!

CBI's Giving Tree Farm/CSA:  Chard, beets, salad mix, radishes, fresh herbs and more!

Urbandale Farm:  Salad greens galore!  Yippee – spring salads!

Greenman Farm Produce:  This family farm will offer a wide variety of local produce throughout the season!

Wildflower Eco Farm:  So very pleased to welcome this farm – Phil will be bringing rhubarb, lettuce and garlic shoots this week; you will find an impressive and delicious variety of organic choices throughout the season.

Hickory Knoll Farms Creamery:  You’re sure to enjoy sampling these cheeses from Onondaga.  Look for two new items; fresh feta and fresh dressed rabbit!

Green Eagle Farm:  This family farm always feeds us so well throughout the season with a huge variety of organic offerings.  Wonderful starts, early produce and more!

Alice's Kitchen:  meat pies, baked goods, MI fish, and more!

Vang’s:  coming soon with their wonderful produce and cut flowers!

Lonesome Pines Beef:   Help us welcome this vendor to our market and be prepared to learn a lot about this free range USDA organic certified beef farm.  Ask about their ground beef and available meat bundles!!

Potential Energy:   We are pleased to welcome this vendor who will be available occasionally throughout season – be sure to stop by and ask about their wonderful offerings!

Flood Plain Farm:  Please welcome this new urban farm; they are coming soon!

Nightengale Produce:  this family farm is sure to bring whatever is ready to come to town!

Cookie Hearth:  simply the BEST cookies you'll find anywhere, that's all!

Applegarth Honey:  Whad’ya wanna bet he brings honey?

Stone Circle Bakehouse:  Get ready to be spoiled again by the amazing breads coming out of this bakehouse!  Focaccia, wonderful whole wheat, savory seeded and sourdough just to name a few!

Peace Works!:  Kathy is one of our pioneering vendors who has been with us from the start!  Check out her re-purposed items with with an artistic flair, and ask her about the new offering she will bring this year.

Soulful Earth Herbals:  We will have Kathaleen here throughout the season but just not every week – be sure to stock up on her handcrafted soaps, lotions, salves and balms!

Dou’s:  coming soon with a wonderful variety of vegetables and flowers, too!

Dry Bucket Farm:  Victoria is another of our original vendors and we will welcome her eclectic variety of offerings as soon as she is able to return!

Tomac Pumpkin Partch:  Pennie will return with her amazing pumpkins, gourds and squash later in the season!

JW Kettle Corn:  We are lucky to welcome this vendor back occasionally throughout the season!  Nothing beats his corn!

 

We will also host these artists/crafters (and more) during upcoming festivals:

Theresa Roskowski, Edward Austin, Patty VanLuven of Terea Cantata, and Celeste Hart of Celestine Paints.

 

Hello to all Yard Sign Corps!  Find a way to keep in touch and let us know how it’s going out there!  Look for announcement of new yard signs coming soon!

 

A huge thank you to all of our Patrons who took care last year when parking on the Allen Street 300 block adjacent to the market.  Please note that driveways can never be blocked and City of Lansing prohibits any parking at all on the east side of the street.
