Opportunity to be on the ANC1B Alcoholic Beverage Regulation committee (plus some input on new frontiers of medical cannabis and sports wagering)

Hello Neighbors,

The ANC1B Alcoholic Beverage Regulation (ABR) committee is in search of more community members.  The committee's main responsibilities are to review liquor license applications in our ANC and convey community feedback/concerns to ABRA, DC's alcohol permitting/enforcement office. 

The committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7pm (currently via Zoom). The next meeting is Wednesday, April 21. Community members must attend 3 meetings to become a voting member.   https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_mBirL6c4TKi8Wgcs8S1ksQ

The Alcholic Beverage Regulation committee also deals with neighborhood implementation of  medical cannabis and sports wagering. These are both relatively new frontiers and the ANC does get to give input, but does not have nearly as much power as with alcohol.
