Good afternoon,

I hope everyone is doing well.

Please be advised that GCS will close a portion of Clifton Street to remove plantings from the STFH facility roof on Saturday 4/17/21 for disposal.

This construction activity is a one day operation.

During this operation, Clifton Street will be closed at the intersections of 14th Street and University Place. Pedestrians and traffic will access Clifton Street through the alley off of Euclid Street.

Attached, please find the public space permit along with the traffic control plan showing the locations of street closures and openings as mentioned in the paragraph above.

We apologize for any inconvenience and will keep construction to a minimum.

Thank you,

We need everyone in our community to pre-register for a vaccination appointment by going to vaccinate.dc.gov or calling 1-855-363-0333. Already vaccinated or pre-registered? Reach out to friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors and help them pre-register. Together we can save lives and end this pandemic. #DCHOPE

Hi Datillo,

DGS has not met the conditions of the permit. Attached photos of the 1400 block of Clifton were taken at 5:15 PM today. "No parking" signs have not been posted and the proposed start is less than 72 hours away.

"Conditions: *"Emergency No Parking" and "Reserved Parking" signs must be posted no less than 72 hours in residential zones".

Why is this requirement being ignored?

Thank you,
Greg

Good evening,

Thank you all for your communication. The email notification is a protocol issued to the community over the course of the construction of the project. In the past, when there has been communication from the community that regulations have not been followed by the contractor, the contractor has been directed to cease work.

I have directed the contractor to reschedule Saturday’s work.

Thank you,

Datillio Radcliffe
