September E&Y Committee Meeting

Good Afternoon,

Last weekend, our committee partnered with DCPL for a Ward 1 Mental Health and Wellness Fair connecting our neighbors to critical services and resources. The turnout was great, and I think we'll look to continuing this trend with future events. It also speaks to our goal of supporting and sharing out all of the work being done at our local library to our residents. This is a trusted space, and we know residents are already turning to it as a resource, we would like to leverage that relationship to build up this community hub.

Summer is over and we're ready to roll up our sleeves and get back to work! Our next meeting has been moved to Thursday, September 29th, 7:00PM to avoid a conflict with our transportation committee.

This month's agenda:

1. Budget season starts soon!!! While the Mayor doesn’t release her FY24 draft budget until the spring, agencies are busy putting together their submissions before the end of the calendar year. We want to put in our asks before they send in their budget requests. There are a lot of competing priorities so helps to be proactive!
2. Update our Roadmap for 2022-2023

Want to take on some other tasks, please let me know, it’s always a busy time and happy to share the work!
