Elections are coming soon, and as you start thinking about how you will vote, I wanted to provide an opportunity to meet and share our thoughts and ideas with Ben Williams, Ward 1 State Board of Education (SBOE) candidate. 

Ben is a teacher who has worked with our students for over a decade while also fighting to ensure access to high-quality, relevant, and engaging curriculum. He has organized in partnership with teachers and families to increase the pipeline for teachers of color and removes barriers for Latino/a educators. We have been fighting hard for our children and quality educational opportunities across this city. This November, we will take these priorities to the polls, including deciding who our next Ward 1 SBOE representative will be. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Ben, and I am excited to host him next Sunday so you can get to know him, too.
