Is this an appropriate topic to bring up at an ANC meeting

Hi all: My name is Erin and I live on 12th NE betweeen Hamlin and
Girard. I know that 12th NE is a business corridor, and busier than
many side streets. However, I have two small children and worry about
the speed that cars go past my house when they are playing outside. I
was wondering if manybe a speed bump, or sign "Children at Play" or
even a stop sign could be placed at the corner of 12th and Girard.
Does anyone know how I would approach imprvoing this situation? Thank
