Hello Ward 5 Residents:

Please come out in alarming numbers on Monday, August 23, 2010, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. to cast your vote for the candidate of your choice (Mayor, Council Chair, Council Member, Council Member-at-Large,etc.) at Ward 5 Democrats' Straw Poll Election.

The Straw Poll Election will take place at Michigan Park Christian Church, located at 1600 Taylor Street, NE (corner of South Dakota Ave. & Taylor Street, NE). The voting line will be cut-off promptly at 8:30 p.m. However those individuals who are still in line after the previously stated cut-off time, will be afforded liberty to vote. Seniors and physically challenged residents do not have to stand in line. Additionally, roadside voting will be available for the aforementioned residents.

Let's give the Washington Post something to write about on Tuesday. Moreover, let's give news reporters something to talk about on Tuesday.  It is imperative to spread the word about Ward 5 Dems' Straw Poll Election among respective friends, neighbors, relatives, coworkers, church members, etc. With the right folks in office, Ward 5 residents can be quite instrumental in the planning and facilitation of collaborative endeavors to move our City forward while making Washington, D.C. a much better place to live, work and visit. I look forward to seeing you this Monday at Michigan Park Christian Church.
