I've patched our SAP Installtion Server to Patch 17 and created a Single File Installer. When i try to install SAP Gui now it just extract the Files -> shows Installtion Gui -> Click "Next" -> Cleaning up Temp Files. All this happens in a few seconds.
Then I start explicite the Windows installer service but the result is without any changes. Then I reregister the installer service via msiexec /unregister, msiexec /regserver and a restart of my system but also without any changes.
When i install proton ge when setting up my Lutris for the Steam Deck, the latest available proton GE is 7.30. Why is this? Games i installed run okay except for Spiderman Remastered and Miles Norales which i cn't get to run. I have tried dodi and fitgirl releases and both fail to load.
1- the easy way is to download a ready made official packages, zip, exe, or msi, as mentioned here, official downloads from here. Make sure to choose the link with the same version of your installed python.
SAP GUI for Windows 7.40 is available since 8th of October 2014 on a full installation medium with all initial patches. You can access the SAP GUI for Windows 7.40 installation here. If you require these components you can download them with the respective links below and add them to your existing NWSAPSetup installation server in order to create a complete SAP GUI installation package.
I ran the setup.exe which extracts the installers (you can see the path as it unpacks it in the GUI screen) from there is a folder which it unpacks called "setup" in that is what you need. cmd line / batch file = "setup\NwSapSetup.exe" /Silent /Package="SAP_GUI_V1" and don't forget PUSHD %dp0 and POPD
I've found that there's no real need to use MwCreateInstServer.exe. I just took an existing installation source and copied it to a new location. Once there, I used NwSAPSetupAdmin.EXE to create a new package that suited our new requirement. MwSAPSetupAdmin.EXE will be in "[folder_to_which_you_copied_an_existing_source]NW_7.0_Presentation_\PRES1\GUI\WINDOWS\WIN32\Setup"
I just installed nmap. I downloaded it; saved it to my desktop; and just double clicked the rpm package. The installation was successful. Now, when I tried in bash to run nmap it did not recognise the command.
After @chronos00 shed some light on this matter, I tried his solution. However, I was not able to install JDK via sudo apt-get install openjdk-8-jre but was able via this link. The installer now shows the GUI but I still cannot proceed with install. Installer now gives me this error:
On Linux Mint 18 of the Ubuntu family with openjdk version "1.8.0_91"installed, I installed SAP GUI for Java 7.40 rev 7. I ran into the same error when I tried to start the SAP gui. I simply looked for javafx in the software center and installed Javafx/openjfx 8 - rich client application platform for java. Now it runs like a charm.
6. When prompted, enter the Administrator password for the computer and click Install Software. Result: SAPgui will install.??
7. Installation is now complete. Click Close.
Note: SAPgui 7.40 for Mac requires Oracle Java 8 JDK. Go to Oracle's download page to download Java SE Development Kit 8 for Mac OS X. An Oracle account is required to download Java 8 JDK.You'll receive the prompt to create an account once you select the correct JDK version.

For normal operation, do not stop the ASCS SAP instance with any tool suchas cluster tools or SAP tools. The stop of the ASCS instance might lead to a loss of enqueuelocks. Because following the new SAP NW-HA-CLU 7.40 certification the cluster must allow local restartsof the ASCS. This feature is needed to allow rolling kernel switch (RKS) updates withoutreconfiguring the cluster.
With SAP NW-HA-CLU 7.40 it is not longer allowed to block resources from being controlled manually. This using the variable BLOCK_RESOURCES in /etc/sysconfig/sap_suse_cluster_connector is not allowed anymore.
Thanks for your replay. I'm FAE from TI and LiuYu is my customer who want to make a mass product tool for CC2640. As he mentioned, Flash Programmer 2 and IAR 7.40 support different version of XDS110 firmware, it will be unfriendly user experience that need to update firmware while changing between two different download mode. So could you help look into:
Try to download and install xds emulation software package 6.0.83.1. When you insatll install xds emulation software package 6.0.83.1, remember to run it with administrator privilege. Then, use xdsdfu in C:\ti\ccs_base\common\uscif\xds110 to update your XDS110 to latest FW.
I suggest that once you open Boot Camp Assistant that you read the documentation since installing Boot Camp and Windows is not trivial. Should you decide to remove a Boot Camp system remember that the partition can only be removed with Boot Camp Assistant.
1. Time to setup the iniitial distribution/registry updates to end user desktops via corporate software distribution tool (SCCM, not the SAP installation server) and testing the ongoing approach for rolling out patches and xml/ini updates. It seems like there is "always something" that goes wrong with this!
For maintenance xml and ini, I just use group policy and bat files. It's quite straight forward. The bat script will be a lot easier if use standard installation directory as well as one type Windows version in user site.
I could fix this by manually deleting the file "SAPUILandscape.xml". When opening SAP GUI 7.40 for the next time, this file was created again - but this time in the right way so that all systems were available ?
I created an installation package including PL6. My problem: If I want to install 740 on a new pc, I have no entries in the saplogon (because there a no saplogon.ini etc. to migrate, of course). What do I have to do to get entries in SAPGUI 7.40?
After installing SAP 7.4 & BC 5.0 (saplogon.ini is in a server), connections are not available in Analysis 2.2. I copied old saplogon.ini under Windows and Common Folders, but is not working. Please help me..Thanks

Hello, i meet the same situation several times on my debian servers, and with new version 5.7_5.7.40-43-1.bullseye_amd64.deb here it comes again.
If i try just apt upgrade percona-server-server-5.7 it fails. Last several times i just did apt remove percona-server-server-5.7 && apt install percona-server-server-5.7, but this time decide to resolve this issue.
So, i found, that when preinst scripts calls with upgrade parameter it want to stop server, but instead it just wait 15 seconds in function server_stop () and then exit with error. So, this breaks upgrade process.
