I haven't had this same difficulty, so do not know what the solution is.

The author of the software, even, participates in the group, and is
very helpful.
When you ask your question, it will be helpful to include more
information, such as
what operating system you are using, which version, which version of OpenOffice
or LibreOffice you are using.
The more details you give, the easier it is to diagnose and resolve
your problem.

Your glossary created with no extension. Here is two solutions
available.
First, rename your glossary to glossary.txt
Second, set file type in open directory dialog from "TXT files" to
"All files".
