I noted during the translation of user´s manual that Anaphraseus is still very limited when comparing it´s features with Wordfast.

For example edition of glossary and TM during  a translation session.

When can we expect to have  a more competitive version?

Not soon, because:
a) Wordfast development began by 10 years earlier than Anaphraseus emerged;
b) Wordfast is a volunteer project, and its participants can only
dedicate their free time to it;
c) unfortunately, StarBasic used in OpenOffice.org has certain
limitations as compared to VBA used in Microsoft Office.

Correction: Anaphraseus is a volunteer project! (oops)

Hi Nubio

We have something like development plan, with following items now :
1. Preserving of text formatting, formulas and embedded objects
2. Term propagation (automatic insertion of terms from the glossary
into the text)
3. TM concordance search
4. Full Cleanup (with filling of TM)
5. Opening folder with TMs
6. Quick reading of UTF-16
7. TM and Glossary editor
8. Wordfast-like placeables
9. TM concatenation
10. Quality control
11. Binding TM with certain document
12. Keyboard configurator
13. Color picker.

Feel free to suggest more items. What about new topic, something like
"Feature requests"?
New release should be ready in month time. It will contain text
formatting, keyboard configuration and color picker for translation
tables.

Best regards, Ole
