Self-surrender means surrendering yourself to the divine will. You know that God is all-pervading, that God's power is supreme and that it is by His will alone that the universal movements are taking place. All activities in all places, at all times, in all beings and creatures and things are taking place because God's power is working in them. Therefore, we say it is by God's will alone that everything happens in the world.

Remembrance of God must lead to detachment from worldly life. Darkness cannot be driven away merely by threatening it with a sword; it can be removed only by bringing in light. Only by bringing in God-thought can darkness of ignorance and consequent attachment to the world disappear. So internal Tyaga is what is really important. You may live and move in the world, and still be detached internally. There is a saying, of Emerson, ‘The great man is he who enjoys the sweetness of solitude in the midst of the crowd.’

It is this Love that freely forgives and returns good for evil, because it is born of the Divine Spirit that dwells within you. It is the expression of Truth—the Light that radiates from your purified, illumined soul. Such a Love is the ideal to be aspired for. The person in whom it has revealed itself is really holy. He is the channel of God’s power and glory.

To exploit to the full the immortal joy which is ever within us is the sole object of life. This immortal joy is Sri Ram. To constantly remember Him by repeating, His name is to merge in this bliss. The universe is but an expression of Him. He is all. The idea of an individual I is utterly false.

The Supreme Lord of the universe, is a veritable ocean of kindness and love. He is ever seated in our hearts. To surrender to Him, by a ceaseless remembrance of His name and His glory, is to enjoy immortal bliss and peace. He is the sole doer. We are merely instruments. We are the children; He is our Divine Mother. We are His and He is ours, for ever and for ever. Being born of Him, we are one with Him. We live in Him; He lives in us. He and we mingle indistinguishably; and we are all He, the Supreme, the One Eternal Reality.

The place of Bhagawan is always in the heart of His Bhaktas. That is His Mandir and home. He is not silent. He is ever busy, talking to His beloved Bhaktas. Jnana without Bhakti and Prem is tasteless. Jnana merely gives. knowledge, whereas Prem sweetens life. Premanand is Purnanand, is the highest bliss (Love-bliss is complete-bliss). That you are immortal is a, self truth.
