Thanks! Looks like I will be waiting to upgrade windows until an official release? As I am not a developer, what is the industry standard when it come to an Operating System update/new release and its compatibility with other software? Does that question make any sense?(if it is even answerable)
A lot depend on the complexity of your windows and how many you need to make and modify. If they are quite straight forward you can use the move tool to shift things around to fit, rather than scaling.
I installed sketchup in my new computer with windows 10. The installation is going well. I manage to open my files but as soon as I make a manipulation the software crashes and closes. I updated all the drivers of the graphics card, reset several times but nothing works.

If you want to use the OpenStudio SketchUp plugin you need to have a minor inset of your window on all sides, although the bottom can touch the floor, but you would have to change it from door to window. I am using wine 1.8 ubuntu 14.04 and sketchup 2016 64bit. I had loads of trouble getting keyboard input to work properly for shortcuts. I had to hit a key multiple times or hold it down so it repeats. I changed the windows version to 10 in wine configure for sketchup and it now works as it should.
Please ignore my other post I inadvertently ignored the first rule of fault finding, only change one thing at a time. Ubuntu 14.04 wine 1.8 sketchup 2016. Shortcuts called by keyboard strokes stop working reliably when the default tray in sketchup is brought up with the instructor enabled. The workaround is to disable the instructor in the tray selector menu. Something in the instructor is messing with the keyboard focus. After doing this you need to restart sketchup to make keystrokes work again.
