Thereare tons of Cheats and Secrets found throughout Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. This page collects all discovered cheats and codes, unlockables and other secrets. If you see something cool while playing, make sure to add it here.
Go to Florida Island and there will be two incapacitated ships. A spanish ship and a British Ship. Board the spanish one and you will have 45 seconds to loot the ship before it sinks. Board the British you have 1 minute to loot the ship before it sinks. Once you have looted both ships go to your map and Fast-Travel Florida Island. Both ships will have their loot there again and you can keep on doing this to get infinite loot. Hope ths helps.
These cheats can all be unlocked by completing the Abstergo Challenges. Once you complete enough challenges, go to the challenges menu on the pause screen. From there, go to the "cheats" section, and turn on anything you want. Remember, while cheats are turned on, the game will not save.
If you are in earlier stages of the game or even in later stages, and you are going up against big ships like frigates and man o wars, you can try and release your ship nearby and swim to the ships and take the crew out. Once you do that, swim back to the Jackdaw and then hit each ship with one broadside and you immediately win the boarding sequence without having to go into heavy fighting.
If you manage beat all of the Legendary Ships, apart from the large monetary rewards (don't forget to loot the packages for the money); finishing all four battles will also give the Jackdaw the additional move of a Speed Ram Attack, where aiming forward and pressing X (PS) and A (Xbox) will allow the Jackdaw to dash for a moment for a ram with increased power.
If you can sink one ship in the HMS Fearless and Royal Sovereign Legendary Ship battle, you can loot its share of the reward Reales: 10,000 floating in the water. Let the remaining ship kill you and you will be able to start the battle over again and keep the money each time.
During the Mister Walpole, I Presume mission, you are tasked to pickpocket the 3 Templars. After you've robbed all three men, immediately pause the game and reload the last checkpoint to rob the men again. The game saves previous money from reloads, so you can keep reloading the checkpoint and pickpocketing!
If you are planning on gaining more $$$ on a Replay, you'll need to do a few things first because the glitch won't work if you try it out of the Current Memory (if you try it, you'll gain money but the amount won't be saved when the mission is done). Follow these instructions:
Once you unlock Dead Men Tell No Tales (70 Abstergo Challenges) activate it and explore shipwrecks for chests and animus fragments with no fear or sharks or drowning. After you finish finding everything, pause and go to quit, and exit animus. Go back into animus and you should still have all the plans/chests/fragments from the wreck, and it should turn yellow indicating completion. Do NOT do assassin contracts or missions this way as it will mess up your sync. Make sure you already have the collect 10 underwater chests abstergo challenge, because the count doesn't move using this method. The other challenge (collect all underwater chests) is not affected by this. Probably collect the last one with no cheats just to be safe.
Once you unlock Dead Men Tell No Tales (70 Abstergo Challenges) activate it and go to the legendary ship battles, sink them all and collect. Oh bummer, it doesn't save with cheats. Pause and go to quit, exit animus. Go back into your animus and the legendary ships are back, but you have the reales and the speed ram attack is yours now, which will make the real battle without cheats much easier. Do NOT do assassin contracts or missions this way as it will mess up your sync.

After the credits roll at the end of the game you'll get an access code for the computer attached to the Animus. Once you hack the computer, you'll see an inbox, outbox and deleted message. Look at the inbox and choose the entry regarding the conference room. Now you can go to the conference room and access it via the keypad.
One of the things I love most about old school games are their cheat codes. I have fond memories of spamming "motherlode" into the Sims to make it rain simoleons - while codes in other games gave you invincibility, new characters and even (somewhat infamously) unlockable blood and gore.
GTA San Andreas was no exception to the rule, and the game is stuffed full of classic cheat codes allowing players to mess around. When you wouldn't want to activate these, however, is right in the middle of a world-record pace speedrun, which is exactly what happened to LelReset.
During an attempt to break his own world record for GTA San Andreas any% (finishing the game with any level of completion), LelReset accidentally triggered a cheat code which brought a helicopter crashing down on his run. The code, called OHDUDE, spawns a hunter helicopter when used. Although the code is typically activated by typing the name, codes in GTA San Andreas can be triggered through pressing certain other WASD combinations, which is likely what happened to LelReset.
The helicopter crash itself was an annoyance, and slowed down the run by several seconds. But the real problem is the speedrunning community (generally) believes that the use of cheat codes - even if accidental and non-beneficial - renders a run invalid for leaderboard submission. If LelReset had continued the run, it could still have been a world record, but may not have been accepted on sites such as
speedrun.com.
As it turns out, the rest of the run unravelled from this point onwards - somewhat unsurprising given Twitch chat was buzzing about the cheat code incident. The run was later utterly derailed when LelReset glitched into a boat: the hazards of old games, I suppose.
This isn't the first time a GTA San Andreas run has been derailed by an accidental cheat code. Back in 2015, for instance, a run by Joshimuz was rendered invalid when he accidentally activated a code to change the weather. Joshimuz believes the combination required to do this was DDDDDDDADWD. What are the odds?
Cheat codes have largely gone away in the modern gaming landscape. With the advent of online multiplayer, achievements, and trophies, getting an advantage by putting in a code seems unfair. However, a select few games still carry on this tradition, either as a way to unlock everything without doing the work or by giving the characters buffs to make the game easier.
Some modern titles have cheat codes in some capacity, which give the player an upper hand. The ethics of using them are debatable, but as long as they don't interfere with someone else's enjoyment of the game, then it shouldn't be the worst thing in the world to use them. It's a shame that modern games with cheat codes have become a rarity, which is why it's important to pay attention to the titles that give this classic video game element the respect it deserves.
Updated on July 23, 2024, by Ritwik Mitra: There was a time when almost every video game was loaded with cheats that players could use to have some fun and mess around with things to allow for the ultimate power fantasy. Now, players will be hard-pressed to find any modern games with cheat codes that they can use to make their life easier. It's a shame, but fans of these cheats in video games will be glad to know that some titles in the current age of gaming are still packed with cheat codes that are a blast to use.
The Dead Space remake is a great upgrade from the original, but there's something about the 2008 classic that makes it well worth checking out even now. Players need only take a look at this game to understand why many fans felt that a remake was completely unnecessary, with Isaac Clarke's mute adventures being a blast to experience even now.
Not only was this title captivating and immersive in its twisted way, but it's also a game with cheat codes that players can use to mess around with its systems. With these cheats, players can refill the energy Isaac uses for his powers, get more Power Nodes to spend on Isaac's upgrades, and gain credits that turn the game's economy into a joke.
Rockstar has developed some of the best open-world games ever, and many of them have been updated in some form or another so that modern gamers can experience them. So, it's rather puzzling to see why Bully hasn't enjoyed the same level of attention, barring a Scholarship Edition release that added to the title's many engaging gameplay elements.
It's one of the better games with cheat codes that players can check out, which makes sense considering Rockstar's tendency to load their state-of-the-art video games with such exploits. These include health refills, unlimited ammunition, and everything else along the same lines.
Players must input relevant button presses to enjoy the benefit of a cheat code, as is the case in most classic video games. With Bully, however, a second controller must be connected to the device on which the game is being played, and the cheat codes must be activated using this controller.
Arkham Asylum came out of nowhere and established itself as one of the best superhero video games of all time, introducing a revolutionary melee combat system that was replicated time and time again by other imitators with varying levels of success. It was clear that expectations were high for the sequel, and fans were glad to see that Arkham City blew expectations out of the water.
The open-world approach was lauded by many fans, with Arkham City's suite of gameplay improvements doing a great job of establishing this title as one of the greatest sequels ever made. Players who have played this title to death can use numerous button input combinations to make this game with cheat codes more fun to play with, especially for those who feel like they've seen all the tricks that the Dark Knight can pull off.
