The Saddle Club is an Australian-Canadian children's television series developed by Sarah Dodd, based on the books written by Bonnie Bryant. Like the book series, the scripted live action series follows the lives of three best friends in training to compete in equestrian competitions at the fictional Pine Hollow Stables, while dealing with problems in their personal lives. This series debuted in 2001 and ended in 2009.
The series revolves around the experiences of three girls, who form a club named "The Saddle Club" after recognizing their shared love for horse riding. Their rival is another young rider at the stables named Veronica DiAngelo.
Throughout the series, The Saddle Club navigates their rivalry with Veronica, training for competitions, horse shows, and the quotidian dramas that arise between friends and staff in the fictional Pine Hollow Stables. In each show, The Saddle Club prevails over its adversities, usually sending a message emphasizing the importance of friendship and teamwork.
In the United States, the series later aired on Horse Racing TV and was distributed independently by Connecticut Public Television and American Public Television through public television stations nationwide, most notably PBS. The series also briefly aired in reruns on The Hub.
Series 3 was broadcast on Discovery Kids in the United States starting on February 22, 2009, while sneak views has been shown on "Saddle Club Sundays" in December 2008. In Australia, the new series commenced on Channel Nine and WIN TV on March 7, 2009.

Erie Hunt and Saddle Club is now in its 6th decade of providing the concept of "Horsemanship Through Knowledge" which was adopted by the board in 1962. Our club consists of more than 50 acres of property on the corner of Eureka and Old State Roads in Franklin Center, just outside Erie, Pennsylvania. We are easily accessible from I-90 and I-79. We are the region's premier non-profit location for equine education, shows, and events.
Our riding grounds include three sand show rings, permanent stabling for 110 horses (with running water and electric), and an announcer's stand with a sound system, and a clubhouse with a kitchen and seating areas. We also added a nine hole disc golf course to continue to utilize portions of the unused areas of the property.
Events are held May through October. In addition to the horse shows, we offer clinics, and equine training throughout the year. We work with area youth groups including Pony Club, Interscholastic Equestrian Association and 4H Club. We also try to provide other horse and non-horse related activities.
We are a non profit club that has been in existence since 1945. The orders of the club are to promote good fellowship among the horsemen of the Long Beach Peninsula, to assist in community affairs, and to bring favorable publicity to this part of the country.
Some of the activities the club is involved in is producing an annual rodeo. A rodeo started prior to 1945, and is the longest running rodeo on the coast. Along with this, we are involved in the Loyalty Day festivities, 4th of July parade, hosting barrel race competitions, leading trail challenge tournaments, and creating play days for all ages. Come check us out for camping at the beach with your equine friends.
Our club has always been strong supporters of youth groups on the Peninsula; Boy Scouts, 4-H and others by letting them use our club facilities, and helping them in fund raisers. It is through our youth that we will grow.
The 2024 Show Schedule has been posted! Links to the entry forms are on the Annual Show Schedule Page under each show. Watch for the bold writing towards the end of the paragraph and they are just a click away. There are four different shows for you to enjoy. The show committee looks forward to seeing you there!
The 2023 brought many exciting changes to the Franklin County Saddle Club. The biggest success was the official IRS Designation of a 501(C)3 non-profit organization. Now the donations that you make to the club are tax deductible and the club will be researching grants and other funding opportunities for additional improvements and upgrades.
Thank you to the hard work of dedication of our grounds crew! Pat Lewis and Bob Morris are the clubs go to for problems, floods and disasters. Without them our club would defiantly be a lot different. That being said, there is lots of deferred maintenance that will need to be done for the upcoming year.
A vision committee has been established to look forward and plan what the club can/will be 5-10 years out. If you have interest in the future of the club, contact our board members. We are always looking for more ideas and volunteers to keep our club updated and prepared to serve the equine community.
Come ride and enjoy the facility. The day ride fee is $25 for two hours and the form may be found in the box on the post in front of the clubhouse. This fee is per rider and should be paid each time a non-member rides.
After Lee graduated from San Diego State University and began working in the fashion industry, she felt a strong urge to blend her professional career with her love of horses. So she carried on immersing herself in the horse world, taking positions as an assistant rider at private training stables for grand prix show jumping horses at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center, and organizing events on the side at local race tracks. Her path crossed with many animals over the years and she was happy that she was able to maintain her connection to equestrian culture. These animals would come and go, as would Lee. And over the years she began to look back and wonder about all those horses, where they were and what they were doing. She continued to question and continued to research. Did you know that 85% of first-time horse owners get rid of their horses within five years, and a startling number of horses are shipped abroad each year for human consumption, with the majority of these animals being healthy, 7-10 years of age and in good condition? For Lee, the calling to volunteer began to beckon.
As with caring for any animal, there comes a great deal of commitment and responsibility, and sometimes this rings even truer with horses. Her search for additional rescue programs continued. In addition to Red Bucket Equine Rescue, Saddle Club came to partner with Humanity for Horses, another 501(c)3 foundation located in Mount Shasta, California. Humanity for Horses has done an incredible job, rescuing over 500 horses to date and providing these animals with a loving sanctuary for the rest of their days.
Using her connections, experience and undeniable fashion wit (she cut her teeth working in sales and marketing at the one and only Ralph Lauren), Lee came up with the concept to create capsule collections using American-made, sustainably-produced, and vintage-sourced, one-of-a-kind reconstructed goods, and donating 20% of net profits to the rescue programs she holds so close to her heart.

The most recent addition to the Saddle Club collection, and soon to be released, is the classic and rustic Lonesome Dove Saddle Pack satchel, made in the heart of Beverly Hills, California by an expert leather craftsman in business on Brighton Way for over 30 years.
Welcome to a new world of cycling saddles! Developed by bike fitters, made for bike fitters. Based on more than 15 years of experience in building custom cycling saddles, more than 50,000 analyses of gebioMized saddle pressure mappings with thousands and thousands of cyclists and backed with valuable input from some of the worlds finest and most famous bike fitters, we proudly present the very first line of gebioMized saddles.
All that data we gathered enriched with great feedback from other bike fitters led the way to our own gebioMized ready to ride saddles: Starting with two saddles that come in different widths and shapes, which makes them suitable for different types of riders and riding positions. This allows bike fitters to choose the matching saddle from a managable yet reasonable palette.
