Hello,

I’m so excited to share that my new exhibition গল্পের সেতু – Story Bridge is launching as part of Platform Arts’ first 2026 thematic program, what it means to remember, and I’d love for you to join me.

Opening Night: Friday 20 February, 5:00PM - Platform Arts, Geelong
Free event, please register: https://events.humanitix.com/what-it-means-to-remember-opening-event

On the night, I’ll be in conversation with the brilliant Shivanjani Lal, whose exhibition I will be the waves and you will be a strange shore opens alongside mine. The evening also features the premiere of A People’s Guide to (North) Geelong, an immersive audiovisual installation created with young people from Norlane.

About my work: গল্পের সেতুStory Bridge is a deeply personal exploration of migrant memory in response to the duplicate architectural plans of the Howrah Bridge in Kolkata and the Story Bridge in Brisbane. It’s about nostalgia, architectural echoing, longing, and the search for home on unceded lands.

If you’re in or near Geelong, I’d truly love to see you there, share this moment, and celebrate these beautiful, interconnected works exploring how we remember.

The program runs 20 Feb – 18 Apr, so even if you can’t make the opening, please come visit anytime.

With warmth,
Dita
