Exhibition Opening & Artist Talk
Kwangho Lee in conversation with Dr Zoe Veness

Date: Friday 15 September
Time: 2.30 pm - 4.00 pm
Venue: Korean Cultural Centre Australia (GF 255 Elizabeth St, Sydney)

Join Seoul-based artist Kwangho Lee for an insightful artist talk in conversation with Dr Zoe Veness, as they delve into artist's creative process and inspirations behind the work.

Kwangho Lee: Cutting Lines unveils ten new works that highlight Lee's innovative use of 3D printing to reimagine various forms. Through visionary designs and meticulous craftmanship, Lee challenges traditional norms and converts mundane items into captivating art pieces. Inspired by childhood memories of his grandfather's resourceful craftmanship, Lee infuses new purpose and significance into everyday objects. Continuously evolving his practice, he explores the synergy of materials in his ongoing series of creations. Cutting Lines is his first solo show in Australia as part of Sydney Design Week 2023.

Kwangho Lee lives and works in Seoul, South Korea, having received his Bachelor of Arts in 2007 from Hongik University, majoring in Metal Art and Design. Lee’s works are in the permanent collections at Powerhouse Museum, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.  Zoe Veness is Senior Lecturer and Deputy Head of School (Design) at UNSW Art & Design.
