I hope you are doing well. I'm reaching out to you personally to share an opportunity I think may be of interest: The SSA–IAF Curatorial Research Grant 2026–27 which is now in its second edition. We are now open for applications. We'd love for you to share this with your intensive networks.

 

This annual grant supports a fully funded, two-week research residency in India, anchored around India Art Fair 2027. It’s designed to give a curator the chance to engage deeply with India’s cultural landscape—through a tailored research itinerary, conversations with artists and institutions across multiple cities, and direct immersion in the context shaping the region’s contemporary art.

 

The grant covers round-trip airfare, domestic travel, accommodation, and logistical support. We’re looking for curators with 8–10 years of experience (independent or institution-affiliated) who are keen to develop new research directions and expand professional networks in South Asia.

 

Key dates:

·  Application deadline: 20 September 2026

·  Results announced: 10 November 2026

·  Research trip: February 2027

·  Public presentation: March 2027
