4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art invites you to join us to celebrate the opening of NUW🌏RLDS, a group exhibition features works by aaajiao, Corin lleto and Tristan Jalleh, INJURY x REAL PARENT, Henry Lai-Pyne, Lawrence Lek, Rags Media Collective, Laurens Tan and Tùng Monkey, on Friday, 21 June from 6pm - 8pm.
Co-curated by Thea Baumann and Con Gerakaris, NUW🌏RLDS explores the creative potential of emerging technologies including Al, video game engines, 3D modeling software, volumetric video capture and the Blockchain. While the exhibition takes place within the gallery space, it also extends into the digital realm with 4A+, a metaverse platform that unlocks the possibilities of a hybridised new space.
Newly commissioned and existing artworks investigate the relationship between humans and web-based content, this exhibition offers insights into digital manipulation through physical movement, and create interdisciplinary artworks rooted in music, fashion and film.
NUW🌏RLDS is more than an exhibition, it is a testament to the ever-evolving spectrum of technology.
NUW🌏RLDS is supported by the Sidney Myer Fund. 4A LAB and NEXUS by Henry Lai Pyne is commissioned by 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art and realised with the support of City of Sydney's Innovation and Ideas grant.
Please register to join us - we're excited to welcome you!
We'll have drinks and snacks
We hope to see you then!
