Hello AN4AA Community,
As we wrap up 2024, we’d like to wish everyone a restful, peaceful and joyous summer break.
It’s been another terrific year for AN4AA, we hope you’ll agree, with highlights including another successful ‘Asian Art Research Now’ postgraduate symposium, which was delivered in a hybrid format for the first time, a regular series of talks throughout the year, AN4AA’s involvement in the APT11 Symposium, and just recently an AN4AA double panel at the AAANZ conference—alongside a bumper number of other Asian art related papers there too! It was very special to meet up with other Asian art related researchers at the AN4AA social gathering at AAANZ. Indeed, a number of colleagues commented on the positive work we are contributing to as a network, which has been really great to hear.

In 2024 we have also been working on a new and growing social media presence, as well as a revamped AN4AA website and fresh logo. We would really like to acknowledge that many of these achievements have been driven and/or supported by our enlarged group of postgraduate representatives. It has been a great pleasure to work with them as a team to deliver these programs and initiatives!
We are very much looking forward to sharing and supporting more Asian art related research in our region in 2025. We’ll be back in earnest in the new year, but of course, if you have anything exciting to share you can always do so at any time via the AN4AA e-list. Also, if you know colleagues and peers who would be interested in AN4AA activities, point them to our joining page: https://www.an4aa.org/join.
