Muslim Day 2009 is here!
Food! Fun! Shopping!
Camaraderie! Bring your families,
and come enjoy the largest family fun day for the whole Atlanta area Muslim community!
In addition to the Food
Court, Marketplace, and discounted admission to
the Atlanta Zoo, there’ll be a Health Fair, Sports Competition, and plenty of
fun , games, and activities for the whole family to enjoy! Also @ 2pm on Sunday the Mayoral Candidates are coming to greet the community.
Muslim Day is a collective community event organized by the
Majlis Ash-Shura of local Atlanta
area masajid. This year, Muslim Day will be held on October 24th &
25th at Grant Park.
Last year, over 5,000 Muslims came together to partake in this
event. Don’t miss the chance to come
together with your Muslim family!
Volunteers!
Volunteers are a crucial part of making Muslim Day a
success! Last year, we had a great
volunteer turn out, and we’re looking to garner an even larger response this
year! Main areas are as follows:
- Children’s activities & Sports
- Event Setup & Breakdown
- Prayer Setup
- Clean Up
- Security
This year, Muslim Day is going to be a two-day event, and
we’re asking volunteers for a two-hour, two-day commitment! Please email or text our Volunteer Liaison

Vendors!
Whether you’re selling halal gourmet or hot dogs, books or
apparel, or you’re a non-profit looking for marketing and exposure, Muslim Day
is an excellent venue for vending! To
apply, please print out the attached vendor application, or download and print
it from the website, at http://muslimday.org.
Contact our Vending Coordinator (info below), to arrange for
completed application and fee collection.
To receive the discounted rates, your application must be received by
midnight on Friday, October 23, 2009.
While vendors are welcome to sign up the day of the event, same-day
applications are subject to the regular rates and first-come space basis.
