Thank you for your email.

We are surprised and disappointed by the response received, particularly considering the contents of your original invitation.

The invitation was addressed to AMTOI and specifically extended seven VIP complimentary badges, requesting participant details for confirmation. Based on this invitation, and since the President of AMTOI would not be available in Delhi on the event dates, we nominated our Immediate Past President, Mr. Arun Kumar, along with our senior  most Managing Committee Member, Mr. S. Ramakrishna, to attend the event on behalf of the Association.

The subsequent communication stating that registrations could not be processed because your partner wished to focus on "specific profiles" is both unexpected and unfortunate. If attendance was restricted to certain profiles or categories of delegates, this criterion should have been clearly communicated in the original invitation itself. The invitation made no reference to any such restrictions and, on the contrary, encouraged us to reserve seats on a first-come, first-served basis.

AMTOI is the apex association representing the multimodal transport and logistics industry in India, and Mr. Arun Kumar is not only a senior industry professional but also the Immediate Past President of the Association and Mr. Ramakrishna is one of the most knowledgeable and experience person in the industry. It is therefore difficult to understand how such profiles would not align with the objectives of a Supply Chain and Logistics-focused event.

While we appreciate that event organisers may need to manage delegate registrations and capacity constraints, the manner in which this has been communicated after extending a formal VIP invitation does not reflect the professional standards generally expected.

We would appreciate clarification regarding the specific eligibility criteria that resulted in the rejection of these registrations. Such clarity would help avoid similar situations in the future and prevent inconvenience to invited delegates who may make arrangements based on official invitations.
