As a Swedish massage instructor, I really like the "Trail
Guide" (Andrew Biel) which has wonderful illustrations. It's also
organized in a way that most anyone with very little or no backgroud
in anatomy can easily use and learn from this book. The "dvd" mini-
version of this book is a great add-on for more visual and interactive
learners who need to see and develope their palpation skills for
muscle attachments.
Another good book for perhaps more advanced Swedish, deep tissue,
and kinesiology students, is "Anatomy of Movement" (Blandine Calais-
Germain). This book is a great resource for understanding the
mechanics of skeletal muscles in regards to the dynamics of their
movement. The illustrations are also very good and again, organized in
a very user-friendly way. ;-)
