Hi all,

in one week, it is time for the SuperCollider meeting again!

Every month or so STEIM hosts the SuperCollider users group, a meeting place
to learn more about SuperCollider, the immensely powerful open-source audio
programming language. The users group is a place to gather, improve your
existing knowledge, or share ideas and inspirations. Through these user group
meetings we'd like to encourage an open and connected community of artists
using SuperCollider in the Netherlands.

We'll have expert tutorials for the first hour of each meeting followed by
more in-depth discussions and sharing of work. Come present your work, either
finished projects or works in progress, share the tools you have created and
get feedback from other users. If you have questions on how to do certain
things or want to learn how to do specific things within SuperCollider, we can
look into these topics together.

Date: Wednesday, 16 November, 2011
Time: 19:00 h
Venue: Steim, Achtergracht 19, Amsterdam
Entry: Free

Let us know if you plan to come!

sincerely,
Marije

Hi Marje!

I'll be filming probably until late on Wednesday night; not sure yet. Documentaries are always a bit like "what's gonna happen...?!". If I manage I will still drop by. Otherwise, could you provide the absent group with a file again?

Thanks and if I am unable to join: have fun!

Cheers!
Susanne

I was hoping to have some kind of crude raw memory playback algo going for this meeting, but circumstances with family floored my opportunities to do SC development.

I'm really stoked to see how your work is going, Tijs. Maybe I'll be able to pick your brain about using those algorithms on more noisy sound material. :)

See you guys wednesday.

Hi,

I can also show what I've been up to lately, even though the sound generation
is outside of SuperCollider, the control is done with SC...

Marije

Hi all,

tomorrow (or today, depending on when you read this) - Wednesday - is the next
SC meeting; we'll start off with Jan Kees doing a play along tutorial in JIT
Lib, and then there will be presentations from Tijs and myself on current
work, and of course whatever else may come up!

We'll have warm beverages available for free, so don't worry about braving the
cold!

see you there!

sincerely,
Marije

Heyhey,

it looks like I can be there too. I might be a little later (19:15ish), looking forward to that SuperCollider sanctuary from the cold!
