Amul, Rasna, Vadilal, Nirma- ranks among most trusted brands: The Brand Trust Report 2013
AHMEDABAD: Homegrown FMCG brands from Gujarat have made it to the The Brand Trust Report, India Study (BTR)-2013.
Dairy brand Amul marketed by the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation has been listed as India's Most Trusted Food & Beverage(F&B) brand out of 123 brands. Amul has climbed 56 ranks over last year and has become India's 22nd most trusted brands.brands
Amul ranks ahead of Nestle Maggi, followed by Parle, Britannia, Coca-Cola and Cadbury's. In the sub-category of Dairy in Food & Beverage, after Amul are Aarey (at All India 390th rank) and Mother Dairy (at All India 406th rank).
Yet another brand from the region Vadilal has been ranked as the Most Trusted Brand in the Ice-Cream sub-category of the F&B list. Vadilal is India's Most Trusted Ice Cream Brand, the report says, beating Baskin & Robbins and Kwality Walls in 2nd and 3rd ranks respectively. Rasna ranks as India's Most Trusted Powdered Drink trouncing Glucon-D and Tang.
Gujarat government-owned Gujarat Industrial Power Company is the Most Trusted Infrastructure company, followed in 2nd and 3rd ranks by National Thermal Power Company and Jawarharlal Nehru Port Trust.
NirmaBSE 0.06 % displaced Hindustan Lever to become India's Most Trusted Consumer Product Manufacturer this year. Procter & Gamble takes 3rd rank, followed by CavinKare and Marico in this list.
The Brand Trust Report, India Study - 2013 is published by Trust Research Advisory. CEO of Trust Research Advisory N. Chandramouli says, "Gujarat has a deep and long tradition of business. Business is nothing, but trust incarnate. Getting Gujarat brands as category leaders in trust shows how these brands have now begun to pervade the national consciousness.
