Dear Modeling and Simulation Colleague,
We would like to invite you to attend a workshop on "Modeling & Simulation for Homeland Security" to be held on June 14-15, 2011 at NIST campus in Gaithersburg, MD. The workshop will be organized around M&S in four domains with each addressed in a separate breakout track: Critical Infrastructure, Hazardous Material Releases, Healthcare Systems, and Incident Management. The objective of the workshop is to develop documents that can serve as a common resource for researchers and analysts involved in M&S for homeland security applications in the four respective domains.
I am attaching the invitation letter for the workshop from Dr. Bert Coursey, DHS Director of Standards. More information on the workshop is available via the website http://www.nist.gov/el/msid/dhsworkshop.cfm. Link to the Online Registration website will be available in a couple of weeks. The cost to attend the workshop is $100.00. This fee has been kept to a minimum and is only used to cover cost of items that cannot be paid for using government funds.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to reach me at le...@cme.nist.gov. We look forward to seeing you at the workshop.
Thank you.
