NEW WORK IN LGBTQ SCHOLARSHIP
The LGBTQ Study Group of the AMS is calling for papers for a peer-reviewed session at the 2014 Annual Conference of the AMS, to be held in Milwaukee. The Friday evening session will include three 20-min papers (to be followed by 10 minutes of questions), and will be followed by the annual LGBTQ Study Group party. Abstracts are solicited on any topic related to LGBTQ music scholarship. Precedence will be given to work that is innovative, expanding the borders of current work. Graduate students and independent scholars are strongly encouraged to apply.
In order to be considered for participation, please send an abstract of ca. 150 words to emily.w...@qc.cuny.edu by August 15, 2014. If applicable, please indicate your status as a graduate (or even undergraduate) student in your abstract; please also note your academic or independent affiliation.
