I am delighted to share Manickavasagar’s “Siva Puranam” from Thiruvasagam.

Siva Puranam is the first poem in Thiruvasagam which commences with Panchaksharam “Nama Shivayaa” .

Mancikavasagar commences with glorification of the Lord and then describes the temporary nature of this physical body.

He refers himself as a dog and thanks the Lord for his voluntary mercy in making him realize the Truth in many such stanzas in Thiruvasagam.

நாயிற் கடையாய்க் கிடந்த அடியேற்குத்
தாயிற் சிறந்த தயா ஆன தத்துவனே

No doubt chanting of Thiruvasagam will make you melt.

Am glad to share the lyrics with meaning and the audio links of Thiru Dharumapuram Swaminathan and Thiru Mylai Pa. Satgurunatha Othuvar. (See link below)

Chanting of Sivapuranam brings immense bliss and joy and is the best way to get introduced to Thirumurais.

May the Lord shower his blessings on all so that our hearts too start getting melted.
