Good Morning

“On Mahavir Jayanti, let peace be your prayer.”

Mahavir Jayanti, celebrated on 31st March 2026, is one of the most revered festivals of Jainism. Across India, Jain temples are beautifully decorated, and grand processions are held to honor Lord Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankar.

Born as Vardhaman, he renounced worldly life at the age of 30, embarking on a spiritual quest. After 12 years of deep meditation and penance, he attained Kevala Jnana (true knowledge). For the next 30 years, he travelled across India, spreading the eternal principles of Jainism.

His teachings—Ahimsa (non-violence), Satya (truth), Aparigraha (non-attachment), Brahmacharya (chastity), and Asteya (non-stealing)—remain timeless guides for humanity.

Quotes of Lord Mahavir

·         “Ahimsa Parmo Dharma”Ahimsa lights the path, Truth guides the soul - Non-violence is the highest religion.

·         “Silence speaks, self-control shines. Since  both the supreme virtues.”

·         “Live and let live – the eternal gift of Mahavir.”

·         “Compassion is strength, simplicity is wisdom.”

·         “On Mahavir Jayanti, let peace be your prayer.”

On this sacred day, Jain saints deliver sermons, reminding devotees to embrace compassion, truth, and simplicity in daily life. Mahavir’s message is not limited to one community—it is a universal call for peace and harmony.
