With the boundless grace and blessings of our Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Acharyas—His Holiness Pujyasri Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal and Pujyasri Satya Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Swamigal—and with the eternal guidance of Jagadguru Pujyasri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Mahaswamigal (Kanchi Mahaswami), we are once again blessed to perform the divine Kaingaryam of Annabhishekam at the sacred sthala of Sri Brahadeeshwara Swamy with Ambal Brahannayaki at Gangai Konda Cholapuram (Tamil Nadu), as well as in several other ancient, remote village Siva temples across Tamil Nadu, on Wednesday, 5th November 2025. It was Kanchi Mahaswami Himself, in His infinite compassion, who in 1985 guided devotees to commence this noble Kaingaryam for universal prosperity and loka-kshema. By His ever-living presence and the Acharyas’ blessings, this sacred tradition continues, now entering its 41st blessed year. Divine Significance Annabhishekam at Gangai Konda Cholapuram has become a spiritual landmark. The very mention brings to mind the majestic Shivalinga and the benevolent grace of Lord Brahadeeshwara. The Agama Shastras declare Annabhishekam to be a most powerful prayer, invoking abundance, prosperity, and spiritual upliftment for all. Devotee Participation We humbly invite you and your family to join and offer seva. Your presence, offerings, and prayers greatly enrich this Mahotsavam. By Mahaswami’s grace: About 4,500 devotees partake in Annadhanam on Annabhishekam day. Nearly 1,000 devotees are served on Mahabhishekam day at Maha Periyava Mandapam. Prasada Viniyogam in the temple precincts ensures that all receive the Lord’s blessings through sacred food.
