See the article below - interesting to note the poor quality or artificial vibhuti has been highlighted in devaprasnam at Sabaramalai Iyyappan temple - which unfortunately is the case with our homes and temples as well.

Let this inspire us to use Pure Vibhuti and support those who are producing this against all odds. Look at the below websites for knowing about & getting that.

Let us look at using Pure Vibhuti at our homes and work with temples over using Pure Vibhuti.

Thanks

SABARIMALA: Lord Ayyappa is unhappy over the present state of affairs of the temple, said astrologer Cheruvalli Narayanan Nampoothiri, who leads the two-day ‘ashtamangala devaprasnam’ at the Sabarimala hill shrine that began on Wednesday.

Indicating lack of blessings from the Lord, the devaprasnam, which began at 11.30 am after placing a ‘swarnaaroodham’ in ‘Vrischika rasi’, suggested immediate conduct of atonement rites by conducting collective prayers at Lord Ayyappa temple and Malikappuram Devi temple, involving top-level devaswom and thantric persons.

The devaprasnam found that some of the pooja  offerings, including ‘vibhoothi’, are artificial in nature, posing problems for the deity.

Lord Nod for New Flagmast

It was found that the golden flagmast at Lord Ayyappa should be replaced with a new one as the present flagmast is getting decayed.

Teakwood should be used as the base pillar for the new flagmast instead of a concrete structure, the prasnam found.

The Lord favoured widening the area at Sopanam by expanding the length up to 23 metres on three sides, barring the eastern side where the length is 23 metres from the sreekovil.

The devaprasnam found that the Lord is against relocating the aravana plant but there is nothing wrong if the distribution complex is relocated. He is also against shifting of the the ‘homakundam’ from the Lower Thirumuttom where the ghee-filled coconuts were deposited for burning.

However, a scientific system could be introduced for the automatic removal of the ashes, the devaprsanam found. The Lord favoured the digging of a new temple pond, which could not be named ‘Bhasmakulam’.

However, the prasnam remained silent on the relocation of the present ‘Bhasmakulam’. The visit of Sabarimala Melsanthi’s daughter and the atonement rites held at the temple were a cause of concern, the devaprasnam said.

The melsanthi should conduct atonement rites by reciting the mantras of the Lord a hundred times, the prasanam said. At Malikappuram Devi temple, the devaprasnam got the deity’s approval for the renovation schemes planned for the temple.

However, the Lord is against the relocation of ‘Manimandapam’ which should be protected like a grove.

The temples for other deities, including ‘the Nagar’ and ‘Navagraha’, could be located by the bringing the land in level to that of the Devi temple. Koottanand Ravunni Panicker, Thrikunnappuzha Udayakumar, Pookkattu Karunakara Panicker, Akhilesh Babu Chelannur and Biju Nampoothiri participated in the ritual.

Travancore Devaswom Board president M P Govindan Nair, members Subhash Vasu and P K Kumaran, devaswom commissioner P Venugopal and executive officer Mohandas were present.
