30th November 2015
Dear Sri. Anand Vasudevan,
Greetings from Sri Ram Mandir!
The Samaj has pleasure in communicating with you regularly about the various functions and activities being held at the Sri Ram Mandir premises with a view to keep the members and devotees informed so that devotees who are not able to visit the temple regularly are not deprived of attending any of the religious, social and charitable activities.
In our last communication we have informed you about the various special bhajans being organised during the Mandalam/Makaram season i.e. between November 17th 2015 to January 17, 2016. This year being the 41st year of our Satha Preeti celebrations, we have decided to include various programmes during the week end to celebrate the same as Mandala Utsavam.
Subsequent to our last communication, we have added a couple of more programmes, details of which are given below:

Discourse (lecture) in ENGLISH on:
A spiritual journey from Bhakti to Mukti through Adi Shankaracharya's Shivananda Lahari by Sri Prabhu Venkatacham
(Sri. Prabhu Venkatachalam has been delivering discourses in Bangalore on works of Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya. His motto is to spread the message of Advaita Vedanta and its importance for spiritual progress, especially in the changing times we live in and also to expound the thoughts of our Gurus as explained in their works and in the Vedas. He has been trained formally in the Vedas, Vedanta and Sanskrit. Professionally, Prabhu is a Chartered Accountant pursuing his Doctorate in Finance at IIM, Bangalore.)
Though the Samaj organises discourses on Srimad Valmiki Ramayana in Tamil during Sri Ramanavami Festival and other discourses like Srimad Bhagavatham during Saptaham by Sanskrit/explanation in Malayalam or Tamil, this lecture in English is organised with a view to attract youngsters in particular, who are able to grasp the contents in English than any other regional languages. It would be our endeavour to organise such talks/lectures on various religious and spiritual teachings, Vedas, Sastras, Upanishads, Epics etc., principles of which if practiced, would have a positive impact on our day-to-day life.
