Yuddha Kaanda - Sarga 27 In this Sarga, Sāraṇa continues to describe the Vānara forces and its commanders to Rāvaṇa. He shows and tells about Hara, Dhūmra, Jāmbavan, Dambha, Saṃnādana, Krathana, Pramāthi, Gavāksha, Kēsari and Ṡatabali.
6.27.1 अ 6.27.1 आ 6.27.1 इ 6.27.1 ई	तांस्तु तेऽहं प्रवक्ष्यामि प्रेक्षमाणस्य यूथपान् । राघवार्थे पराक्रान्ता ये न रक्षन्ति जीवितम् ॥ tāṃstu tē'haṃ pravakṣyāmi prēkṣamāṇasya yūthapān । rāghavārthē parākrāntā yē na rakṣanti jīvitam ॥ And now, while you are looking, let me tell you about the chiefs who are eager for the fray for the sake of Rāma, with no care about even their own lives.
6.27.2 अ 6.27.2 आ 6.27.2 इ 6.27.2 ई 6.27.3 अ 6.27.3 आ 6.27.3 इ 6.27.3 ई	स्निग्धा यस्य बहुव्यामा बाला लाङ्गूलमाश्रिताः । ताम्राः पीताः सिताः श्वेताः प्रकीर्णा घोरकर्मणः । प्रगृहीताः प्रकाशन्ते सूर्यस्येव मरीचयः । पृथिव्यां चानुकृष्यन्ते हरो नामैष यूथपः ॥ snigdhā yasya bahuvyāmā bālā lāṅgūlamāṡritāḥ । tāmrāḥ pītāḥ sitāḥ ṡvētāḥ prakīrṇā ghōrakarmaṇaḥ । pragṛhītāḥ prakāṡantē sūryasyēva marīcayaḥ । pṛthivyāṃ cānukṛṣyantē harō nāmaiṣa yūthapaḥ ॥ This one, of formidable exploits and on whose tail, which is many fathoms long and is being dragged on the ground, shines the silky fur in red, yellow, black and white colors, as if it were a bunch of rays of the sun caught in the hand, is a commander by name Hara.
6.27.4 अ 6.27.4 आ 6.27.4 इ 6.27.4 ई 6.27.5 अ 6.27.5 आ	यं पृष्ठतोऽनुगच्छन्ति शतशोऽथ सहस्रशः । द्रुमानुद्यम्य सहसा लङ्कारोहणतत्पराः । यूथपा हरिराजस्य किङ्कराः समुपस्थिताः ॥ yaṃ pṛṣṭhatō'nugacchanti ṡataṡō'tha sahasraṡaḥ । drumānudyamya sahasā laṅkārōhaṇatatparāḥ । yūthapā harirājasya kiṅkarāḥ samupasthitāḥ ॥ And hundreds and thousands of captains who attend upon the king of the Vānaras follow right behind him wielding trees and eager to scale the walls of Laṅkā.
6.27.5 इ 6.27.5 ई 6.27.6 अ 6.27.6 आ 6.27.6 इ 6.27.6 ई 6.27.7 अ 6.27.7 आ 6.27.7 इ 6.27.7 ई	नीलानिव महामेघान् तिष्ठतो यांस्तु पश्यसि । असिताञ्जनसङ्काशान् युद्धे सत्यपराक्रमान् । असङ्ख्येयाननिर्देश्यान् परं पारमिवोदधेः । पर्वतेषु च ये केचित् विषयेषु नदीषु च । एते त्वामभिवर्तन्ते राजन्नृक्षाः सुदारुणाः ॥ nīlāniva mahāmēghān tiṣṭhatō yāṃstu paṡyasi । asitāñjanasaṅkāṡān yuddhē satyaparākramān । asaṅkhyēyānanirdēṡyān paraṃ pāramivōdadhēḥ । parvatēṣu ca yē kēcit viṣayēṣu nadīṣu ca । ētē tvāmabhivartantē rājannṛkṣāḥ sudāruṇāḥ ॥ The terrible bears you see, black like the great clouds and shining like mounds of collyrium, display true valor in battle. They are innumerable and they are spread out all over as indistinguishably as the farther shore of the ocean. These extremely fierce ones who live on mountains, by the rivers and nearby regions, are ready to charge towards you, O king!
6.27.8 अ 6.27.8 आ 6.27.8 इ 6.27.8 ई 6.27.9 अ 6.27.9 आ 6.27.9 इ 6.27.9 ई	एषां मध्ये स्थितो राजन् भीमाक्षो भीमदर्शनः । पर्जन्य इव जीमूतैः समन्तात् परिवारितः । ऋक्षवन्तं गिरिश्रेष्ठम् अध्यास्ते नर्मदां पिबन् । सर्वर्क्षाणामधिपतिः धूम्रो नामैष यूथपः ॥ ēṣāṃ madhyē sthitō rājan bhīmākṣō bhīmadarṡanaḥ । parjanya iva jīmūtaiḥ samantāt parivāritaḥ । ṛkṣavantaṃ giriṡrēṣṭham adhyāstē narmadāṃ piban । sarvarkṣāṇāmadhipatiḥ dhūmrō nāmaiṣa yūthapaḥ ॥ And standing out in their midst, O King, like the lord of clouds among clouds, is the commander by name Dhūmra, the lord of all bears, who looks terrifying with his menacing eyes. He lives on Ṛkshavanta, the best of the hills, drinking the waters of Narmada.
6.27.10 अ 6.27.10 आ 6.27.10 इ 6.27.10 ई 6.27.11 अ 6.27.11 आ 6.27.11 इ 6.27.11 ई	यवीयानस्य तु भ्राता पश्यैनं पर्वतोपमम् । भ्रात्रा समानो रूपेण विशिष्टस्तु पराक्रमैः । स एष जाम्बवान्नाम महायूथपयूथपः । प्रक्रान्तो गुरुवर्ती च सम्प्रहारेष्वमर्षणः ॥ yavīyānasya tu bhrātā paṡyainaṃ parvatōpamam । bhrātrā samānō rūpēṇa viṡiṣṭastu parākramaiḥ । sa ēṣa jāmbavānnāma mahāyūthapayūthapaḥ । prakrāntō guruvartī ca samprahārēṣvamarṣaṇaḥ ॥ Look at his younger brother who is like a mountain! He, who resembles his brother in appearance, even excels him in prowess. His name is Jāmbavan and he is the commander of many great captains. He charges forth fecklessly all the while following the commands of the superiors and brooks no one standing against him in battle.
6.27.12 अ 6.27.12 आ 6.27.12 इ 6.27.12 ई	एतेन साह्यं सुमहत् कृतं शक्रस्य धीमता । दैवासुरे जाम्बवता लब्धाश्च बहवो वराः ॥ ētēna sāhyaṃ sumahat kṛtaṃ ṡakrasya dhīmatā । daivāsurē jāmbavatā labdhāṡca bahavō varāḥ ॥ As a reward for the great help he rendered to the sagacious Ṡakra in the battle between Dēvas and Asuras, Jāmbavan received many boons.
6.27.13 अ 6.27.13 आ 6.27.13 इ 6.27.13 ई 6.27.14 अ 6.27.14 आ 6.27.14 इ 6.27.14 ई	आरुह्य पर्वताग्रेभ्यो महाभ्रविपुलाः शिलाः । मुञ्चन्ति विपुलाकारा न मृत्योरुद्विजन्ति च । राक्षसानां च सदृशाः पिशाचानां च लोमशाः । एतस्य सैन्या बहवो विचरन्त्यग्नितेजसः ॥ āruhya parvatāgrēbhyō mahābhravipulāḥ ṡilāḥ । muñcanti vipulākārā na mṛtyōrudvijanti ca । rākṣasānāṃ ca sadṛṡāḥ piṡācānāṃ ca lōmaṡāḥ । ētasya sainyā bahavō vicarantyagnitējasaḥ ॥ He has many followers with pelts of thick hair, huge in size and powerful as fire, whom death does not scare even a bit. Equals of the Rākshasas and the Piṡācas, they get on to the tops of mountains and throw down rocks as big as great clouds.
6.27.15 अ 6.27.15 आ 6.27.15 इ 6.27.15 ई 6.27.16 अ 6.27.16 आ 6.27.16 इ 6.27.16 ई	यं त्वेनमिभिसंरब्धम् प्लवमानमिव स्थितम् । प्रेक्षन्ते वानराः सर्वे स्थितं यूथपयूथपम् । एष राजन् सहस्राक्षम् पर्युपास्ते हरीश्वरः । बलेन बलसंयुक्तो दम्भो नामैष यूथपः ॥ yaṃ tvēnamibhisaṃrabdham plavamānamiva sthitam । prēkṣantē vānarāḥ sarvē sthitaṃ yūthapayūthapam । ēṣa rājan sahasrākṣam paryupāstē harīṡvaraḥ । balēna balasaṃyuktō dambhō nāmaiṣa yūthapaḥ ॥ This one, O King, who seems frenetic and ready to fly at any moment attracting the gaze of all the Vānaras is a commander of many captains. This mighty strong commander and lord of Vānaras, who helps the Thousand-eyed one with his forces is known as Dambha.
6.27.17 अ 6.27.17 आ 6.27.17 इ 6.27.17 ई 6.27.18 अ 6.27.18 आ 6.27.18 इ 6.27.18 ई 6.27.19 अ 6.27.19 आ 6.27.19 इ 6.27.19 ई 6.27.20 अ 6.27.20 आ 6.27.20 इ 6.27.20 ई 6.27.21 अ 6.27.21 आ	यः स्थितं योजने शैलम् गच्छन् पार्श्वेन सेवते । ऊर्ध्वं तथैव कायेन गतः प्राप्नोति योजनम् । यस्मान्न परमं रूपम् चतुष्पादेषु विद्यते । श्रुतः सन्नादनो नाम वानराणां पितामहः । येन युद्धं पुरा दत्तम् रणे शक्रस्य धीमता । पराजयश्च न प्राप्तः सोऽयं यूथपयूथपः । यस्य विक्रममाणस्य शक्रस्येव पराक्रमः । एष गन्धर्वकन्यायाम् उत्पन्नः कृष्णà ��र्त्मनः । तदा दैवासुरे युद्धे साह्यार्थं त्रिदिवौकसाम् ॥ yaḥ sthitaṃ yōjanē ṡailam gacchan pārṡvēna sēvatē । ūrdhvaṃ tathaiva kāyēna gataḥ prāpnōti yōjanam । yasmānna paramaṃ rūpam catuṣpādēṣu vidyatē । ṡrutaḥ sannādanō nāma vānarāṇāṃ pitāmahaḥ । yēna yuddhaṃ purā dattam raṇē ṡakrasya dhīmatā । parājayaṡca na prāptaḥ sō'yaṃ yūthapayūthapaḥ । yasya vikramamāṇasya ṡakrasyēva parākramaḥ । ēṣa gandharvakanyāyām utpannaḥ kṛṣṇavartmanaḥ । tadā daivāsurē yuddhē sāhyārthaṃ tridivaukasām ॥ This one, who, leaping forward can reach and stand next to a mountain that is a Yōjana away and leaping upward can reach as high as a Yōjana, the likes of whom there are none among the quadrupeds, is like a grandfather of Vānaras. This commander of captains, known as Saṃnādana, gave a tough fight even to the sagacious Ṡakra and never once knew defeat. His prowess in battle is just like that of Ṡakra. He was begot of a Gandharva woman by Agni to help the Dēvas in that war between them and Asuras.	The ‘leaping forward and upward’ here are the equivalents of what we call long-jump and high-jump now-a-days.
6.27.21 इ 6.27.21 ई 6.27.22 अ 6.27.22 आ 6.27.22 इ 6.27.22 ई 6.27.23 अ 6.27.23 आ 6.27.23 इ 6.27.23 ई 6.27.24 अ 6.27.24 आ 6.27.24 इ 6.27.24 ई	यत्र वैश्रवणो राजा जम्बुमुपनिषेवते । यो राजा पर्वतेन्द्राणाम् बहुकिन्नरसेविनाम् । विहारसुखदो नित्यम् भ्रातुस्ते राक्षसाधिप । तत्रैष वसति श्रीमान् बलवान् वानरर्षभः । युद्धेष्वकत्थनो नित्यम् क्रथनो नाम यूथपः । वृतः कोटिसहस्रेण हरीणां समुपस्थितः । एषैवाशंसते लङ्काम् स्वेनानीकेन मर्दितुम् ॥ yatra vaiṡravaṇō rājā jambumupaniṣēvatē । yō rājā parvatēndrāṇām bahukinnarasēvinām । vihārasukhadō nityam bhrātustē rākṣasādhipa । tatraiṣa vasati ṡrīmān balavān vānararṣabhaḥ । yuddhēṣvakatthanō nityam krathanō nāma yūthapaḥ । vṛtaḥ kōṭisahasrēṇa harīṇāṃ samupasthitaḥ । ēṣaivāṡaṃsatē laṅkām svēnānīkēna marditum ॥ This one, a commander by name Krathana, is no vain boaster on the battle-field. He, a blessed and powerful bull among the Vānaras, dwells on the king of mountains, right where your brother Vaiṡravaṇa strolls for pleasure by the Jambū woods and where many Kinnaras frequent. Followed by a thousand crore Vānaras who are ready for the fray, he too wants to smash Laṅkā with his forces.
6.27.25 अ 6.27.25 आ 6.27.25 इ 6.27.25 ई 6.27.26 अ 6.27.26 आ 6.27.26 इ 6.27.26 ई 6.27.27 अ 6.27.27 आ 6.27.27 इ 6.27.27 ई 6.27.28 अ 6.27.28 आ 6.27.28 इ 6.27.28 ई 6.27.29 अ 6.27.29 आ 6.27.29 इ 6.27.29 ई 6.27.30 अ 6.27.30 आ 6.27.30 इ 6.27.30 ई	यो गङ्गामनु पर्येति त्रासयन् हस्तियूथपान् । हस्तिनां वानराणां च पूर्ववैरमनुस्मरन् । एष यूथपतिर्नेता गच्छन् गिरिगुहाशयः । गजान् रोधयते वन्यान् आरुञ्जश्च महीरुहान् । हरीणां वाहिनीमुख्यो नदीं हैमवतीमनु । उशीरबीजमाश्रित्य पर्वतं मन्दरोपमम् । रमते वानरश्रेष्ठो दिवि शक्र इव स्वयम् । एनं शतसहस्राणाम् सहस्रमनुवर्तते । वीर्यवि�¤ �्रमदृप्तानाम् नर्दतां बलशालिनाम् । स एष नेता चैतेषाम् वानराणां महात्मनाम् । स एष दुर्धरो राजन् प्रमाथी नाम यूथपः । वातेनेवोद्धतं मेघम् यमेनमनुपश्यसि ॥ yō gaṅgāmanu paryēti trāsayan hastiyūthapān । hastināṃ vānarāṇāṃ ca pūrvavairamanusmaran । ēṣa yūthapatirnētā gacchan giriguhāṡayaḥ । gajān rōdhayatē vanyān āruñjaṡca mahīruhān । harīṇāṃ vāhinīmukhyō nadīṃ haimavatīmanu । uṡīrabījamāṡritya parvataṃ mandarōpamam । ramatē vānaraṡrēṣṭhō divi ṡakra iva svayam । ēnaṃ ṡatasahasrÄ �ṇām sahasramanuvartatē । vīryavikramadṛptānām nardatāṃ balaṡālinām । sa ēṣa nētā caitēṣām vānarāṇāṃ mahātmanām । sa ēṣa durdharō rājan pramāthī nāma yūthapaḥ । vātēnēvōddhataṃ mēgham yamēnamanupaṡyasi ॥ This one, a commander by name Pramāthi, incited by the age-old hostility between monkeys and elephants, roams on the banks of Gaṅgā frightening the leads of the elephant herds. He, a lead and a commander, roars from the mountain cave he lives in, putting a check on the wild elephants and goes about trampling the trees. He, a chief of the Vānara army, enjoys like Ṡakra in heaven, living on the Uṡeerabeeja mountain by Gaṅgā, which is comparable to Mandara mountain. Ten crore (Vānaras) who are haughty with their valor and prowess and who posses extreme strength follow him shouting thunderously. O king, he whom you see (moving swiftly) like a cloud blown by the wind is the invincible leader of these mighty Vānaras.
6.27.31 अ 6.27.31 आ 6.27.31 इ 6.27.31 ई 6.27.31 उ 6.27.31 ऊ	अनीकमपि संरब्धम् वानराणां तरस्विनाम् । उद्धूतमरुणाभासम् पवनेन समन्ततः । विवर्तमानं बहुधा यत्र तद्बहुलं रजः ॥ anīkamapi saṃrabdham vānarāṇāṃ tarasvinām । uddhūtamaruṇābhāsam pavanēna samantataḥ । vivartamānaṃ bahudhā yatra tadbahulaṃ rajaḥ ॥ Where there is heavy red dust swirling, blown by the wind in every direction, is where his tempestuous army of powerful Vānaras is.
6.27.32 अ 6.27.32 आ 6.27.32 इ 6.27.32 ई 6.27.33 अ 6.27.33 आ 6.27.33 इ 6.27.33 ई	एतेऽसितमुखा घोरा गोलाङ्गूला महाबलाः । शतं शतसहस्राणि दृष्ट्वा वै सेतुबन्धनम् । गोलाङ्गूलं महावेगम् गवाक्षं नाम यूथपम् । परिवार्याभिवर्तन्ते लङ्कां मर्दितुमोजसा ॥ ētē'sitamukhā ghōrā gōlāṅgūlā mahābalāḥ । ṡataṃ ṡatasahasrāṇi dṛṣṭvā vai sētubandhanam । gōlāṅgūlaṃ mahāvēgam gavākṣaṃ nāma yūthapam । parivāryābhivartantē laṅkāṃ marditumōjasā ॥ These fierce, black-faced, immensely strong and extremely swift Gōlāṅgūlas, a hundred lakh in number, who saw the bridge constructed, are gathered around the commander named Gavāksha, ready to charge towards Laṅkā and smash it with their power.
6.27.34 अ 6.27.34 आ 6.27.34 इ 6.27.34 ई 6.27.35 अ 6.27.35 आ 6.27.35 इ 6.27.35 ई 6.27.36 अ 6.27.36 आ 6.27.36 इ 6.27.36 ई 6.27.37 अ 6.27.37 आ 6.27.37 इ 6.27.37 ई	भ्रमराचरिता यत्र सर्वकामफलद्रुमाः । यं सूर्यस्तुल्यवर्णाभम् अनु पर्येति पर्वतम् । यस्य भासा सदा भान्ति तद्वर्णा मृगपक्षिणः । यस्य प्रस्थं महात्मानो न त्यजन्ति महर्षयः । सर्वकामफला वृक्षाः सदा फलसमन्विताः । मधूनि च महार्हाणि यस्मिन् पर्वतसत्तमे । तत्रैष रमते राजन् रम्ये काञ्चनपर्वते । मुख्यो वानरमुख्यानाम् केसरी नाम यूथपः à �¥ bhramarācaritā yatra sarvakāmaphaladrumāḥ । yaṃ sūryastulyavarṇābham anu paryēti parvatam । yasya bhāsā sadā bhānti tadvarṇā mṛgapakṣiṇaḥ । yasya prasthaṃ mahātmānō na tyajanti maharṣayaḥ । sarvakāmaphalā vṛkṣāḥ sadā phalasamanvitāḥ । madhūni ca mahārhāṇi yasmin parvatasattamē । tatraiṣa ramatē rājan ramyē kāñcanaparvatē । mukhyō vānaramukhyānām kēsarī nāma yūthapaḥ ॥ This one, a commander by name Kēsari, chief of the chiefs of Vānaras dwells on the beautiful golden mountain, enjoying on that best of the mountains that is full of trees yielding fruit perennially. It, whose flanks are never deserted by Maharshis, yields the best quality of honey and is filled with trees that grant every wish and fruit. The sun revolves around that mountain which shines equally well like him and whose birds and beasts too reflect its shine.
6.27.38 अ 6.27.38 आ 6.27.38 इ 6.27.38 ई 6.27.39 अ 6.27.39 आ 6.27.39 इ 6.27.39 ई 6.27.40 अ 6.27.40 आ 6.27.40 इ 6.27.40 ई 6.27.41 अ 6.27.41 आ 6.27.41 इ 6.27.41 ई 6.27.42 अ 6.27.42 आ 6.27.42 इ 6.27.42 ई	षष्टिर्गिरिसहस्राणाम् रम्याः काञ्चनपर्वताः । तेषां मध्ये गिरिवरः त्वमिवानघ रक्षसाम् । तत्रैते कपिलाः श्वेताः ताम्रास्या मधुपिङ्गलाः । निवसन्त्युत्तमगिरौ तीक्ष्णदंष्ट्रा नखायुधाः । सिंहा इव चतुर्दंष्ट्रा व्याघ्रा इव दुरासदाः । सर्वे वैश्वानरसमा ज्वलिताशीविषोपमाः । सुदीर्घाञ्चितलाङ्गूला मत्तमातङ्गसन्निभाः । महापर्वतसà ��्काशा महाजीमूतनिस्वनाः । वृत्तपिङ्गलरक्ताक्षा महाभीमगतिस्वनाः । मर्दयन्तीव ते सर्वे तस्थुर्लङ्कां समीक्ष्य ते ॥ ṣaṣṭirgirisahasrāṇām ramyāḥ kāñcanaparvatāḥ । tēṣāṃ madhyē girivaraḥ tvamivānagha rakṣasām । tatraitē kapilāḥ ṡvētāḥ tāmrāsyā madhupiṅgalāḥ । nivasantyuttamagirau tīkṣṇadaṃṣṭrā nakhāyudhāḥ । siṃhā iva caturdaṃṣṭrā vyāghrā iva durāsadāḥ । sarvē vaiṡvānarasamā jvalitāṡīviṣōpamāḥ । sudīrghāñcitalāṅgūlā mattamātaṅgasannibhāḥ । mahāparvatasaṅkāṡā mahājīmūtanisvanāḥ । vṛttapi�¹ …galaraktākṣā mahābhīmagatisvanāḥ । mardayantīva tē sarvē tasthurlaṅkāṃ samīkṣya tē ॥ There are sixty thousand beautiful golden mountains, among which stands out the one, the best of them, like you do among Rākshasas, O sinless one! On that best of mountains live many who are of varied complexions of dark brown, white, red and honey. They have sharp fangs and talons for their weapons. They are lion-like with their four fangs, and unassailable like tigers. All of them are like fire and resemble the fiery venomous serpents. With beautiful and long tails, resembling elephants in rut and shining like huge mountains they roar like thunderous clouds. With round, yellow eyes and terrifying gait and voice, all of them stand looking at Laṅkā as if they are going to smash it.
6.27.43 अ 6.27.43 आ 6.27.43 इ 6.27.43 ई 6.27.44 अ 6.27.44 आ 6.27.44 इ 6.27.44 ई	एष चैषामधिपतिः मध्ये तिष्ठति वीर्यवान् । जयार्थी नित्यमादित्यम् उपतिष्ठति बुद्धिमान् । नाम्ना पृथिव्यां विख्यातो राजन् शतबलीति यः । एषैवाशंसते लङ्काम् स्वेनानीकेन मर्दितुम् ॥ ēṣa caiṣāmadhipatiḥ madhyē tiṣṭhati vīryavān । jayārthī nityamādityam upatiṣṭhati buddhimān । nāmnā pṛthivyāṃ vikhyātō rājan ṡatabalīti yaḥ । ēṣaivāṡaṃsatē laṅkām svēnānīkēna marditum ॥ This valorous and sagacious one, O King, who stands in their midst, known widely in the world as Ṡatabali, is their commander. He prays regularly to the Sun god for victory and wants to smash Laṅkā with his forces.
6.27.45 अ 6.27.45 आ 6.27.45 इ 6.27.45 ई	विक्रान्तो बलवान् शूरः पौरुषे स्वे व्यवस्थितः । रामप्रियार्थं प्राणानाम् दयां न कुरुते हरिः ॥ vikrāntō balavān ṡūraḥ pauruṣē svē vyavasthitaḥ । rāmapriyārthaṃ prāṇānām dayāṃ na kurutē hariḥ ॥ This heroic and strong Vānara of great prowess, with unflinching self-pride, would not care about even his own life, when it comes to pleasing Rāma.
6.27.46 अ 6.27.46 आ 6.27.46 इ 6.27.46 ई	गजो गवाक्षो गवयो नलो नीलश्च वानरः । एकैक एव यूथानाम् कोटीभिर्दशभिर्वृतः ॥ gajō gavākṣō gavayō nalō nīlaṡca vānaraḥ । ēkaika ēva yūthānām kōṭībhirdaṡabhirvṛtaḥ ॥ Each one of these commanders, Gaja, Gavāksha, Gavaya, Neela and the Vānara Nala have ten crore strong forces surrounding them.
6.27.47 अ 6.27.47 आ 6.27.47 इ 6.27.47 ई	तथाऽन्ये वानरश्रेष्ठा विन्ध्यपर्वतवासिनः । न शक्यन्ते बहुत्वात्तु सङ्ख्यातुं लघुविक्रमाः ॥ tathā'nyē vānaraṡrēṣṭhā vindhyaparvatavāsinaḥ । na ṡakyantē bahutvāttu saṅkhyātuṃ laghuvikramāḥ ॥ There are other eminent and swift Vānaras who live on Vindhya mountains. There are so many of them that it is impossible to count them.
6.27.48 अ 6.27.48 आ 6.27.48 इ 6.27.48 ई	सर्वे महाराज महाप्रभावाः सर्वे महाशैलनिकाशकायाः । सर्वे समर्थाः पृथिवीं क्षणेन कर्तुं प्रविध्वस्तविकीर्णशैलाम् ॥ sarvē mahārāja mahāprabhāvāḥ sarvē mahāṡailanikāṡakāyāḥ । sarvē samarthāḥ pṛthivīṃ kṣaṇēna kartuṃ pravidhvastavikīrṇaṡailām ॥ All of them, with bodies like huge mountains, O great King, are highly accomplished. All of them are so powerful that they can smash the mountains and litter the earth with the pieces in a matter of a second.
	इत्यार्षे वाल्मीकीये श्रीमद्रामायणे आदिकाव्ये युद्धकाण्डे सप्तविंशः सर्गः॥ ityārṣē vālmīkīyē ṡrīmadrāmāyaṇē ādikāvyē yuddhakāṇḍē saptaviṃṡaḥ sargaḥ॥ Thus concludes the twenty seventh Sarga in Yuddha Kāṇḍa of the glorious Rāmāyaṇa, the first ever poem of humankind, composed by Maharshi Vālmeeki.
