Kindly see the video of Nanaji Deshmukh's holistic developmental model and its implementation at a drought affected district of UP-MP border: Chitrakut. He was a desciple of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee who worked for building Bharatiya Jan Sangh in the early days in 1960s, senior of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, L K Advani, Nanaji was instrumental to bring Janat Party into power in 1977 after decimation of Indira Gandhi post emergency period. But he refused to become Minister in 1977 by turning down the repeated request of the then PM Sri Moraji Desai.

Later he founded an Ashram and implemented holistic development model to bring a district (Chitrakut) from the shackles of drought.
