because its immoral and socially unacceptable for humans to have sex with someone who is not your wife/husband, including people of the same gender, i was wondering if the different countries' censorship rules should be extended to include videos/pictures of animals mating as well.

if children are completely shielded from such immoral acts including that of animals, perhaps they are even less likely to imitate them, because sex is easy to imitate, unlike violence which takes a lot of bravery

Its a fact that humans are animals. Animals do engage in sexual reproductive activities. These activities are similar to what most married humans do. But culturally, sex outside of marriage for humanity is socially frowned upon for most educated people in most places, and this is why most countries around the world put up censorship such as "R" ratings that warns people whether a film is suitable for children or not.

Yes, we are animals indeed, but we are on a higher class than all other animals. Just because we are animals does not mean we follow what animals do. I did not say that sex is immoral, I am saying that certain practices of sex are immoral.

If the idea of "immoral to have premarital sex" is a religious motivation, then why do almost EVERY country (including SECULAR nations) in the world practices censorship of films for violent and sexual content?

@tsciallsolle3451: Your whole argument about premarital sex is both incorrect and irrelevant to your core point. First of all a document and an inanimate object around your finger aren't the standard for morality when it comes to sex. Secondly what does premarital sex even have to do with censoring sex, especially educational videos of animals mating? We shouldn't stop informing children on such a essential part of life on the off chance that they'll imitate what they see in videos. What's next? Should we put kids in bubbles for their entire childhood?

.........WAT at this whole topic. Who the hell actually watches that shit? Besides maybe people whose job is to breed animals or something. And children don't search for that kinda shit. I think you actually have to type in the words "animal sex" or whatever to actually get those results and videos lol. And if a kid does happen to accidentally or purposely watch that, then it is entirely the parent's fault for lack of supervision, and for giving a child access of the entire internet LOL.

Moral values from religious books do dictate that premarital sex is wrong, and OUTSIDE of these books we can still infer that many social problems arise from having premarital sex. People having sex outside of marriage have a statistically greater correlation of getting sexually transmitted diseases, which hurts the next generation. Not only that, sex outside of marriage has trust issues: If you can have sex with someone unmarried before marriage, what is preventing you from doing so with another one after marriage? Finally, premarital sex has the risk of causing unplanned pregnancies (Except for homosexuality, but homosexuality is a sin worth the punishment of death so its irrelevant either way) which again, has a higher statistical correlation with single parenthood and that affects childhood development.

Think about it this way: If you are bringing up a little kid would you expose him to media that shows graphic violence? No, you would shield him from such material because you want the best for your children and don't want him to become a violent person or get mentally scarred by such scary images. Therefore I believe that its in the best interests of the future generation that we should shield any form of media that displays sexual activity from kids until they are of marriageable age, say 16 or 18.

And apparently you don't realize the nature of Google/Youtube search algorithms: If children surf the internet they can innocently stumble upon these graphic videos - The algorithms relying on the searching habits of other users to provide recommended videos to you.

At the same time, we want the children to grow up intelligent and flexible, hence we need to compromise and give them the internet for exploration. The best way is to ban such videos instead of throwing the responsibility to parents who are already occupied with their own jobs.

I'll be blunt, if a country's modern culture doesn't view premarital sex a sin nearly equatable to rape, it has pretty much regressed in moral values. As much as I hated the Westboro Baptist Church, I could almost sympathize with their opinions of the declining standards in this world.

It is definitely wrong to watch other humans who are not your life partners having sex because it is morally wrong to be voyeuristic. That's why pornography is frowned upon by many religious people.

However, there is nothing wrong with watching animals mating, unless one is into bestiality. And I just love how people here love to equate nature lovers with bestiality, clearly demonstrating how shallow and short-sighted the average person is. I watch them animals mating out of curiosity for Biology, so I can know more about the various reproductive methods by different animals. People, learn logic next time, and don't jump to conclusions.

However, I feel due to the similarity of animal mating methods with humans having sex, I feel it is not right to expose children to watch animals mating. Wouldn't you agree that a lion ripping a goat apart for meat is just as disturbing as a human ripping out the heart of another human?

I suppose if the kids are JUST watching videos of animals mating, that might take some parental guidance. However, if it's just part of a nature show, that's simply documenting part of a wild creatures life cycle and habits. Except for certain primates (and even then, it could have educational purposes to view) and porpoises, humans (that I know of) are the only mammals that have sex for recreation. Other wild animals take care of business to keep their species going.

Sex is never going to go away. Making animal mating taboo is somehow trying to sexualize it. But it isnt the same thing. It is mating for survival purposes 99% of the time. Sex is different in other species. There is no such thing as gender with animals. Just because it has a penis doesn't make it a "man" or masculine. Often times, females are dominant in size in other species, or males carry the offspring, or they mate in strange ways. Many are asexual or hermaphroditic. Others lay eggs and fertilize outside of the body. It is just as inappropriate as a bear or lion "murdering" other animals for food. Its just not the same.

@tsciallsolle3451: So you want Google to be the parent and to parent children now? It it completely practical to supervise a child while they are using the internet or computer. A good and responsible parent MAKES time. And if they're out at work, then a kid probably shouldn't have access to the entire internet at all. There are things out there like computer programs that help prevent a child from being able to look at such things. Or devices like the Kindle edition for kids.

Nope, I'm pretty sure someone would have to specifically type "animal sex/porn/breeding" or whatever to actually get it. Unless someone had already searched for it and then the kid stumbles upon it. Which again would be the parents fault for lack of supervision.

Yes I sort of agree, kids can become more intelligent and flexible through the use of the internet. But there are other resources and the internet is much more risky. You say you want to ban or have these specific videos on YouTube be adult restricted. But do you realize that there's stuff out there on the internet, that is much much MUCH worse that a kid can stumble upon too right? Yet you're so worried about some obscure videos about animal breeding.

The best way to help children would be if the parents would actually be responsible and viligant of their children or child. Parents can take steps so that their kids don't look at this sort of stuff. Google does not need to be the parent and neither does any other company.
