Thisis Beaucoup and today we were checking out their new flagship location in downtown Vancouver. Operating out of the old Starbucks, once located in the St. Regis Hotel; marked by their red and white stripped awning.

There is also enough room in the caf to allow for a little shop of sorts. Beaucoup houses a curated selection of local products including their favourite maple syrup; truffle infused oils, mayo, and sauces; and gourmet chips and chocolates. Plus greeting and birthday cards, which will compliment any of their desserts, should you decide to pick a few up as gifts for any occasion.

Based on our taste and appetites, the following is what we had today. The Black Forest Cake was the adult version of the dark chocolate and cherry cake that I had growing up. Gentle in nuance with a light cherry centre.

Looking for something savoury I highly recommend the Ham Cheese Scroll. The slightly sweet pastry you already love, made more savoury with crispy ham and burnt cheese. I would order it again and double it while I am at it.

For a dessert on the go, or one you can eat half now and save the rest for later, look to the Banana Caramel tiramisu, served in a jar with screw cap lid. Everything you love about the creamy coffee cake, but now with brightening banana and sweet caramel as an exciting twist.

And if looking to pair the new cakes with a new hot beverage, they have 5 new oat tea latte drinks, exclusive to this St. Regis Hotel location. Shizuoka Matcha Blanc, Hojicha Noir, Roasted Oolong, Yasmina, and Parisian Fog.

When I first started coming here, the owner would always invite me to the back to see their kitchen setup and show me how their cakes are made. I love the transparency and this tells me that they are confident in their product!

This shop would be a good date spot because of how easy it is to share everything and how IG worthy their drinks and desserts are. It is also a very cool shop with lots of cute knick-knacks on display that you can actually buy.

While this may technically be a chain first founded in Nanjing, Taiwan in 2017, there is only one location in Vancouver. I wanted to feature this shop because they really serve high quality drinks.

For my dairy-free friends, they offer oat milk as an alternative and it tastes amazing! We ordered their signature Brown Sugar Pearl + Oat Milk Tea. Because the brown sugar pearls are already really sweet, we opted for 30% sweetness. Many people also go with 0% sweetness.

I wanted to feature Dragon Ball Tea House on this list but when I showed up, they were closed! It looks like they will be closed for the summer. They are another OG store that is a local small business and has been around for a long time.

We currently have our main stores at Metrotown-Metropolis, Robson St, Richmond Centre, and Vancouver Designer Outlet.

Kiosk Partners in Kerrisdale, Denman St, and Aberdeen centre, Kingsway, Richmond Oval and many more! Sit tight and our Alberta stores will be opened soon!

The Castella Cheesecake brand is a Japanese-style pastry bakery established in 2018 to bring the bona fide taste of light Japanese desserts to Canada. Castella opened its first branch on Robson Street in the heat of downtown Vancouver shopping district and has since propelled a further five branches throughout Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond. We additionally have a central bakery establishment supplying fresh bakery items daily, working effectively to provide the freshest baked goods to our most valuable fans.

His vision for the bakery shop and love of Japanese preparing happened to be something that numerous fans inside Vancouver, and from all over Canada came to share. Today the pastry bakery has turned into an exceedingly celebrated and sought-after brand.

Often when I'm perusing through a perfume or skincare boutique I'm so enamored with some of the scents that I wish I could eat them. Literally. On Wednesday, I got that opportunity at Roger&Gallet's media event for its new boutique opening at the Hudson's Bay in downtown Vancouver. Since I was a little kid, I've been a big fan of their beautifully wrapped, iconic soaps. Now with their newest boutique and extensive body care and fragrance offerings, I can see myself happily spending lots of time here.

Guests were treated to an experience where perfume meets pastry. Through a collaboration with local bakery, Cadeaux - who by the way created my amazing crab-themed birthday cake last June - guests were served a delightful breakfast by chef Eleanor Chow with pastries infused with key perfume notes and ingredients from Roger&Gallet fragrances. Guests were also provided tools to create our own custom pastries based on three signature fragrances. Kudos to the Roger&Gallet PR team as this was a wonderfully creative way to fully immerse guests in the sensory experience for skin care and fragrance.

The new spot in the Telus Gardens building at 510 Georgia St. officially opened just before Christmas, offering coffee, croissants and cakes (among other things) to last-minute shoppers in downtown Vancouver.

Bisou has two other locations in Metro Vancouver; one on Bidwell and the original in North Vancouver. They're also known for providing baked goods to the likes of Turkish Airlines and Emirates through a deal with the Dubai National Air Travel Agency.

Bisou launched in 2006 in West Vancouver when a group of friends wanted to open a shop highlighting their pastries. Along with their storefronts, their baked goods have also been carried in grocery stores like Save-On-Foods and hotels like the Fairmont locations in Vancouver.

Oh my goodness this 100% gluten free bakery is a must visit. From wonderful raspberry lemon tartlettes to croissants and bread, Lemonade has an incredible range of gluten free baked goods on sale. Other items we tried included a mango cheesecake, croissants, sesame bagels and campfire cupcake. All were exceptionally good.

This is yet another dedicated gluten free bakery in Vancouver, with a focus on wholesome bakes. They use no white sugar, artificial ingredients with some items that are suitable for diabetics, lactose intolerant and vegan people too.

I decided not to try this one due to their warning about potential cross contamination. It is only a risk of it, as they have some processes in place, but I will leave it to you to decide. Cartems offer various gluten free doughnuts (which are all vegan too), including smoked maple walnut, salted caramel, double chocolate and vanilla bean.

A gluten free menu is available at this popular brunch spot, with choices including gluten free waffles (made on a dedicated gf waffle maker). They have processes in place to minimise cross contamination.

A top recommendation from my fellow coeliac blogger and friend Gluten Free Fi. Medina is a mixed facility but she told me that staff were great about preventing cross contamination and most of the menu is naturally gluten free. Gluten free bread is also available and apparently this is a must visit spot for brunch.

This was the main source of gluten free options I found on Granville Island. The menu showed lots of gluten free options and offered gluten free bread. The fries were also gluten free when we visited.

There is a very cool street market on Friday evenings in North Vancouver called the Shipyards Night Market. We found a few different gluten free options, including a couple of fully gluten free food stands. The views across the water to Vancouver are fab and there are lots of bars and some live music to keep you entertained. It is also very family friendly as the market starts at 5pm.

A fully gluten free food stand run by charming Yannick. It is a must visit for coeliacs and other gluten free people taking a trip to the night market. Those gluten free arancini rice balls are perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside with brilliant flavoured fillings. The pizza variety is especially good and there is even a vegan option.

Very close to Vancouver is Abbotsford and I had to include it as there is a WONDERFUL gluten free bakery and cafe there. It is an ideal place to stop for lunch if you are on your way to or from Vancouver.

Another town I wanted to add in, as if you are visiting the Canadian Rockies you will probably be driving through Revelstoke at some point. We found a lovely, very gluten free friendly cafe that I wanted to post about.

This cafe serves a huge array of gluten free cakes and hot food options, as well as homemade gluten free bread. Staff were well prepared to minimise the risk of cross contamination. They have dedicated gluten free tongs for servings and other precautions in place. I had a delicious rice bowl (which was also dairy free and vegan), a gluten free nanaimo cake and a divine dark chocolate peanut butter cup. A must visit it you are passing through, plus Revelstoke is a lovely little town. There are cool shops to be discovered and you can stretch your legs by taking a peaceful walk along the river.
