Dear Macrel developers,
I have a question regarding the output of the macrel abundance command.
According to the Macrel's official documentation, this mode should return a table where the second column represents the number of reads mapped to each peptide. However, in my results, the abundance values are floating-point numbers rather than integers.
Could you please clarify whether this is expected behavior, or if the output should normally contain integer counts?
Thank you very much for your time and for developing Macrel.
Best regards,
Zhouyang Fan

Dear Celio,
Thank you for your prompt response and for the clarification.
I am using the version of Macrel I downloaded earlier this year in March. I will update to the latest version from GitHub and test the macrel abundance command again to see if the floating-point issue is resolved.
I will follow up with feedback once I have tried the new version.
Thank you again for your assistance.
Best regards,
Zhouyang Fan
