Ways to Contribute to Educational and Social Equity

In General

3. If you are interested in volunteering with Teach For India, please sign up here. Teach For India is currently seeking part-time volunteers to assist our Fellows in their classrooms. The hours are flexible, you get to work in classrooms directly with children who need you, and it's a great way to learn more about the Fellowship and build critical leadership experience.
4. Apply for India Fellow - India Fellow is a 13 month experiential learning program for young dynamic Indians. As a India Fellow you will spend 12 months full time with a field partner organisation ( FPO) to gain hands -on experience at the grassroot level and about 1 month of intensive orientation, training and experience sharing from development leaders. www.indiafellow.org
5. Gyan-Setu is a year-long program which consists of short residential visits of volunteers in remote areas of developmentally challenged states of India (currently Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, J-K, Nagaland, Orissa, Jharkhand, Sikkim), to conduct hands-on science-based workshops for middle school students. This program aims at building communication bridges through knowledge exchange to inculcate the sense of national integration and also at capacity building of local students as well as volunteers. 5. Janaagraha works on issues related to public governance in Urban India. Area SurakshaMitra (ASM) is an initiative between the Directorate of Home Guards & Civil Defence, Janaagraha and City Police to prepare a citizen force for neighbourhood security. The central idea is to build a trained force through a representation from every polling booth in the city – 5000 in the city of Bangalore and 10,000 in Mumbai.
