I'm the developer of LaModAl (
https://lamodal.com), a web-based AMPL IDE which offers many features, including remote solver execution using NEOS or self-hosted optimization servers. This last feature enables the user to run AMPL remotely at any Linux machine, so for instance from your laptop at home you can run AMPL in a computer from your university, or on a virtual machine at Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
