Dear AMPL Group,

I'm a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

I have to use AMPL-Groubi together to solve a problem, but I cannot have both together.

I installed AMPL and Gurobi (Academic Version), then I used the download Tab in my Gurobi account to download '' Gurobi for AMPL '', but still, I cannot have both together.

Can you please give me some guidance how I can have AMPL-Gurobi. Please consider that I installed AMPL and installed Gurobi separately in my PC, and also downloaded Gurobi for AMPL.

I deeply appreciate your help and look forward to hearing from you.

With kind regards,

I cannot understand what you mean when you say that you "cannot have both together". Perhaps you could give an example of what you typed and what error messages you saw. Also if you aren't sure how to use AMPL with a solver, you could look at some of the examples in the AMPL book (...). Note that to use Gurobi as the solver, you need to start AMPL first, and then inside of AMPL give the command "option solver gurobi;" before "solve;".

Also it would help us to know what is the "AMPL and Gurobi (Academic Version)" that you installed, since there are several versions of AMPL but we do not call any of them the "academic" version. If you can start ampl and post the output from the command "option version;", that will be helpful.
