Any plans to update the AMPL Book or expand the "new language features" index?

The AMPL Book is very useful but it doesn't include some of the more recent features added since around 1996. Some of these new features are indexed from https://ampl.com/NEW/index.html. Others are available on the website but I can't see an easy way to navigate to them - for instance, I found https://ampl.com/NEW/printf.html by googling "AMPL printf format" but I don't see how I would find it from the front page.

This leaves me wondering if there are useful features I don't know about because I don't know where to look for them, and it makes it hard for me to provide new staff with a comprehensive list of AMPL features.

Are there any plans to revise the AMPL Book to include all these "new" features, or otherwise to collect them all in one place? (Or is there an index somewhere that I've missed?)

A lot of the material in the https://ampl.com/NEW/ . . . pages was included in the 2nd edition of the AMPL book. Some of that material is indeed newer than the book, however. We have covered the newer material in the RESOURCES / NEW FEATURES menu of the current AMPL website, along with additions to the AMPL system (like the APIs) that supplement the modeling language. Thus between the book and those menu items, readers should have what they need to know about current AMPL features.

We are developing new reference material that will be helpful to AMPL users, such as a guide to all AMPL option settings. This material will be published on our website as a supplement to the book.
